How thick does my wood have to be if I use blocks on my 6" post. It shows the 12"x12" L brackets and blocks below that.. I ordered some and received them today but not sure how to figure out how to close the gap. Just trying to figure out how thick the wood blocks have to be that I screw to the post so when I go to put my panels up I can glue them to the blocks.

Oh sorry, we just saw this question. The system didn't notify us. The wood blocks can be some inexpensive pressure treated 2x4s, that means 1-1/2" thick or more. Let us know if you have further questions. Thank you!
