+djonceagainyou don't seem to know the purpose of this "color". it's ugly for a reason; it lines help to hide the cars features. This was probably before the official reveal of the car in paris. Last week I saw a new Audi with the same kinda "color".

+Aliasify : I am sorry, but the vast majority of the production, engineering, research and Design of DAF Trucks is done in Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The 11 and 13 liter engines are produced here in Eindhoven. The same van be said of final assembly and production of metal parts. The cab of the XF, CF and the axles are assembled in Westerlo, Belgium, the LF cab is made at Renault in France. Only chassis engineering of the LF and CF 65 and assembly of those vehicles and of the other right hand drive versions is done in England. I do work at DAF R&D, so I know a bit about it.

Dutch owned yes, designed and manufactured in the UK. This episode was about things that are manufactured in the UK because of the (incorrect) belief that the UK doesn't manufactur anything anymore.

+dylan axe Firstly, just FYI, Ford sold Aston Martin in 2007. Secondly, Ford was in charge of everything Aston did. In fact, the 2005 V-12 DB9 used Duratec  v-6 connecting rods. Duratec is a Ford owned company and the same rods are used in the v-6 Ford Mustang. Very cheap parts not suitable for a V-12 of that caliber and haven't been used since ford sold them.
