that future died exactly after the year 2000 and the dot com bubble burst on wall street. then 9/11 then wars , then terrorism, then the ultra rich stealing from the poor and on and on. that's why most of our media today is about hopelessness and despair and apocalyptic visions. hope has been stolen from us.

Okay who wrote this? I've read paul mauriat with a song originally called 'seul au monde', but also read it was Perrey and Andy Bedele aka Angelo Badalamenti (David Lynch's composer!). Hell, I know it because of the Ventures but I'm intrigued by the deep history and appeal of this killer composition.

This composition is based on the song of french maestro Paul Mauriat "Seuls au monde" ("Alone in the world") which sang by Mireille Mathieu and Steve Laurence in 1960s. Angelo Badalamenti and Jean-Marcel Leroy composed a new music.

@lazicful haha. good point. it's got a kind of underwater feeling to it, like you're exploring a cave system full of alien flora. But they're not aggressive, so you can continue searching.

i never get tred of this seemingly. just beutaful. i usually put it on a playlist with telstar , some version of doctor who theme and and final count down, and maybe some abba.

Hmm.....I think Telstar' must have whizzed by when the passport was issued....I still have the Vanguard LP....how amazed I was as a 12-year-old kid at what synths could do.

The Ventures released a single in 1973 called "Skylab". It may be a ripoff of this song, but I like the Ventures' version better.

Very similar to Gusty Garden Galaxy in Super Mario Galacy. I'm guessing that this song is what they based that on.
