10 tips you should know when studying abroad in Paris, from two people who have studied abroad in Paris. SUBSCRIBE: //bit.ly/1V7nUmQ 25 Study Abroad ...
Damon and Jo you guys gave me the push to study abroad in Paris! I am
currently here!! My advice would be if your study abroad program can get
you into CROUS housing do it! I pay 300 for my own apartment with
everything! Also, if you want to meet more people go to french and english
speed dating (its more like speed talking) lol you spend 5 min speaking in
English and 5 min in French with Parisians :)
+Alana Vargas Magalhães There are facebook events for it :) There is also a website where they post when the next event is going to be. I usually just look at facebook events though.
I'm not really sure but I know CROUS and Cite Universitaire have spots open for people that come through my study abroad program so maybe that's why I was able to get in?
Hey, but unfortunately I have heard that not everyone gets to live there...they usually give priority to scholarship students. But I don't know really, what do you think?
I am going to go to college in England (I'm thinking the University of
Bristol). Does anyone know any part-time jobs an American can have over in
England? They already speak English so teaching it isn't really an option
:P Thanks
+Sophie W I took a look at the websites and they are extremely useful! I'll definitely be using those websites to help plan out getting money to help pay for things :D Thanks lots.
Also, your university will often offer jobs too. I know at Birmingham university you can get paid to be a room inspector, work on campus, show people around the uni etc. You'll see lots of job opportunities once you get here. Plus you get like a massive grant off the government for living expenses
Do you think that it is too young to travel to France (potentially for a
weekend) on your own at 16 if you live in England? I want your honest
opinion as I feel that I am ready although I don't have the experience to
know if it's a wise choice or not! I love you guys so much❤️
+Tinesha Kinley Paris is not the safest place in France (but honestly no one I know has ever been mugged or anything and if you don't go to sketchy areas you'll be 100% fine) but since you're planning to go for a weekend, it's probably the best option, since the train is really quick from London and it's pretty close to England. :)
+Aidan Blln thank you everyone for your responses! Where would you say is safest in France for me?! Mostly, I just want to practice my French speaking and listening by talking to locals in cafés, hotels etc...
You'll be fine for a weekend especially as you are from England you re already in western Europe so you won t have big culture shock. Plus mmamy people can speak basic english and metro transportation is very easy. I am from Paris by the way!
France is a rather safe country, and as said +Aidan Blln it really depends with whom you are traveling with. I'm from paris, If you want some informations or anything ask me ^^
+Tinesha Kinley heyy! I travelled on my own to Italy from France when I was your age (which was last year haha) and nothing bad happened, everything was amazing and went well. It really depends on three things: where are you going? Who are you going with? And do you think you really can be responsible on money and things like that? Also, it's not necessary but definitely better if you know someone there, and for hotels, you can if you have an authorization letter from your parents (and it's also gonna be in your favor if you reserved the room online before) :) If you have any other question, don't hesitate, and also tell me where you'd like to go, because my advices will definitely be more precise :) But no, I don't think that you're too young!
I wouldn't suggest that. My best friend is studying abroad for almost a month and she still feels severely lost. Also, I personally believe you're too young to go to a foreign country by yourself. I'd say my opinion is due mostly to maturity and it's a new country, you never know what could happen.

These are some great tips! I would definitely say taking a walking tour
while in Paris is a great way to see the city, learn about the sites, and
get oriented when you are out and about on your own.
+Grateful Primate I usually just tag along with a walking tour through the hostel where I am staying, which is usually really cheap or free and always pretty relaxed. Although exploring on your own getting lost is probably the real "best way" to get oriented. :-)I definitely agree things are much easier now, especially with the larger cities!
+maggiehanna Hi Maggie Hanna ! Walking tours are indeed a great way to get oriented to a new city, provided you can accept three limitations :1. You have to have reasonable walking stamina to keep pace with your group (not easy for the elderly or mobility impaired).2. You can't linger very long at any of the sites. Your itinerary is determined by the guide's timeline since most walking tours are only 1 or 2 hours long.3. You can't wander off on your own until after the tour is over (assuming you can find your way back to the sites on your own).Depending on your comfort level, I generally recommend exploring on your own so you can experience the joy and freedom of independent travel. You really don't have to pay someone to show you around a major city as long as you're willing to just do a little map research and watch some YouTube videos. You can do it !Heck, that's the reason people like me take the time to make these videos : to empower other people with information. When I started travelling on my own in the early 90's there was no internet or travel apps to help, LOL. We had talk to locals and bring Lonely Planet guidebooks in order to travel independently. My, how times have changed...Cheers ! = )

Just found this , I really enjoyed this vlog and the editing you put into
it so I gave it a thumbs up! :) I just uploaded my 1st vlog
, however my channels packed full of other videos and films that I made
before vlogging. I'm an 18 year old guy from England with a year to go
before University so I've got a lot of time on my hands - I thought I'd
give vlogging a try while I can! I'd really appreciate any feedback you can
give me, maybe even if you subscribed. :D im glad i subscribed !!!
Thanks for your tips! We will be traveling to Paris for the first time at
the end of the month. :) very excited, but also nervous about navigating
things like trains and ordering food at restaurants in french.
+Karissa Cornell I'm glad this was helpful. Check out my videos for riding the Metro. Hope ordering food won't be a problem. Many restaurants have menus in English. That is not always a good sign, btw. It can mean that they cater to tourists. Many waiters speak English also. Have a great trip!

I'm going to Paris next year, solo, around the same time that you were
there. Is the weather hot or more fall type weather? Love the videos very
informative. Thanks.
+TheMscarterplease It was REALLY hot this last August (about 93 degree Farenheit), which is normally the hottest month of the year in Paris. Parisians usually leave the city and take their vacations in August.I usually like to wear suits when I'm shooting my videos, but I just couldn't do it in this case. As a general rule of thumb, the weather in Paris (and the rest of western Europe) is similar to New York City's weather at any given time of the year.Have fun in Paris, Ms Carter !

Travel tips for visiting Buenos Aires- the "Paris" of Argentina
Buenos Aires is often known as the most beautiful city in Argentina, perhaps in South America. This video slideshow presentation introduces travelers to Buenos ...
If he wants to say Palacio de Justicia, then its his right to say it. I
speak a couple of languages, and I pronounce cities and places of other
nations around the world in its official language(s), instead of english.
That just shows respect, and a love for learning about different countries
and languages. Your comment shows that you are just a hater, and a hater is
always miserable with their own life..so they insult others. Sad.
Great video! It shows quite well what is Buenos Aires and what is
contributing to its elegance and charm... + the info and facts are really
interesting! We are sharing nice videos about Argentina as well, to show
how this country is amazing. Feel free to have al look!

in the wrong advise and talking garbage
Thank you for the video, and your passion for sharing your travels with us.
Some people here who are making negative comments are just jealous haters,
and very sad people. You are doing what many people wish they can do. Keep
enjoying life and travel.
Sorry. But non Spanish speaking Americans should NOT use Spanish
terminology at all. You sound ridiculous. Just thought you might want to
know so you don't sound ignorant to the locals.
Our culture is influenced by ITALIANS,SPANIARDS,FRENCH AND GERMANS ...
Never PORTUGUESE ....... That's why our "Spanish" is different to the rest
of the world, we are a mix of cultures :)
wow funny they actually put a giant condom on that giant penis of Osiris.

Excellent work Olga! I'm old now but 20 years ago I worked as a wedding and
model photographer as I had studied photography a few years previous to
that. Your right up there with the best of the best, I admire your unique
beauty and rare talent for styling clothing, it seems to me you can take
any fashion time period such as 1930's 50s 60's -80's you take the best of
those past fashions and combine them into something modern and something
that most girls simply couldn't do with your talent and knowledge for
styling. I feel your fashion choices in Paris sum up that statement! If
Hollywood had any real class or style these days then you'd be right up as
a top class model and actress, well you already are in my eyes and I"m sure
many of your subscribers feel the same. Thanks very much once again!
