My god, even though the tempo sounds a little fast here (just slightly), the interpretation of "The Old Guide's Story", which opens the suite in the actual published sheet music (it is part 1; "Down-Stream" is part 3 or 4, I think), is so moving that I was almost moved to tears at the end. Really, it is hard to grasp how profound some of this music is until you hear it played RIGHT.

Thanx, for your comment. I should have voiced those hard hammers before posting music! My new mics didn't arrive till the end of april. Lane is a favorite of mine.

Lane is a genius, unfairly unrecognized, I think, because his melodies can sound, well, old-fashioned to a modern ear, but they are beautiful, to my ear. Thanks.
