The locals told us that foxes swim to the island form time to time or even walk to it if the tide is very low. And sometimes due to bad weather they cannot go back to the shore.

I have always want to visit Ireland - the land of the friendliest people on Planet Earth. Who get friendlier with every sip!

The funniest thing bout irish country is that when strangers arrive like us for example. In 2 to 3 minutes u have a circle of locals ( usually very old locals) chatting with u about everything and after 15 minutes u know the history of last 1000 year of the area. We try our best to go to places where no tourists arrive.PS. The last time we went for a trip to a properly tourist place i.e. Lahinch Co. Clare. We got kicked our for trying bodyboarding on 8 meater waves, even before we got into the water. So we decided to find another "safer" Beach and after 40 minutes of driving and getting into wet suits a local came out of his house and invited us for as he said a few shots just to get some courage to get and challenge the Waves. ;)

Hello Friend, aren't you nice to follow up. Thank you. I am as curious about the place as you. I am glad you are keeping the exact location a secret so it will be safe from further vandalism. It just looks so sad and..abandoned. At least the residents got a chance for better lives elsewhere. I saw a news story recently about a project to turn an abandoned apartment complex into living space for homeless people here in the US. Maybe your island can find another use someday. Are you doing interviews with former residents to find out what life was like on the little island? That would be interesting. A book maybe? I would read it. I would even proof read/edit it for you. Be blessed and filled with peace of heart and mind.
