Well guys, I am doing an engine swap for a customer. The yellow sport neon has a blown engine, and the red neon has a beaten body. Im making one good car ...
I actually like that yellow, doesn't look too bad(on camera at least)!
Might be doing an engine swap myself eventually, Chevy Camper has a 350,
and there just happens to be a Buick Skylark with a bad engine sitting
around. But it's a scavenger hunt to put that car back together haha.
they were all replaced before the swap so there was no point in throwing
out the new. The center motor was a pain we ended up cutting out a hole so
the bolt could come out. I recommend unbolting the tranny mounts so you can
move the motor/tranny mount to make life easier. make sure you get the
dogbones in the right spot or the whole car will rattle its self apart
trust me
Great video!!! How many motor mounts does this motor have not including the
transmission mount? my 2005 sxt vibrates and I was told to replace the one
on top in the engine next to the oil cap, one under the engine next to the
passages wheel (looks like like an arm) is there another one? by the
belts/ac/ area??? nice job:-)
Thanks for your reply. Service man at dealer ( old guy who supposed to know
his stuff) told me " run it till it stops, I never heard of timing best
breaking and it's the kind that won't break valves" So today I had my local
mechanic order the parts. I got 106K on mine. Thanks, seeing your video
might have saved my @ss.
Its running great it hasn't been back for any major repair for over a year
no it did need the wheel bearing replaced and of course oil changes and
what not the car only had 82,xxx miles on it when it took out its original
engine the junk yard engine had lil over 100,000 miles
why didnt you change the timing belt at 90,000 like you should have,
instead of needing to change an entire engine,... preventive maintenance, i
bet she'll do it now
that is one sexy car!! i bet the person who drives it its even awesomer
How to Remove and Replace a Camshaft Position Sensor - Chrysler PT Cruiser 2 4L Non Turbo
Replacing the Camshaft Position Sensor on your Chrysler PT Cruiser is alot easier than you think, whether you have a check engine light with a camshaft ...
I have a 2003 PT Cruiser Base Wagon (non turbo). The engine light was on &
off, but after a visit to Midas...now is on all the time. I have this
codes: ....P0456 & P0441...... I know there are more than one sensor in the
car, so I'm thinking in go to a Junk Yard & see if I get lucky. (thigh
budget) I just want to know the location of all sensors possibly related to
the problem or if you can make a video...better!!
I really appreciated this video & the education. However, if the car still
runs & the part is removed then the car can't be driven to go buy the part.
:) I'm still subscribing.
