Just a question I have a Mustang and I'm trying to supe it up I am
installing a supercharger but haven't got the results I was looking for how
is it that all of these videos show cars taking off so fast is it launch
control or what
if you want to launch fast from a dead stop, you need to have combination of change in drivetrain. besides adding supercharger, need to change camshaft, and probably pistons. if this is a stock engine.then the transmission has to have a high stall torque converter, as well as a programmable shift kit. most drag racers use a 2 speed Powerglide.at the end of the drive train you will need a 9 inch rear end that's locked. and 10 inch drag slicks. inside the cab, you'll need a front brake lock. and a ratchet slapstick for shifting. as well as A dash light that comes on and tells you when to shift into second.that's if you want to take your Mustang to the track every weekend and and race off the line!but if you're just going to the convenience store we're driving your girlfriend around, go to a shop and have them tune supercharger to the engine. and make small change to exhaust system.
When they launch they use a "2step" which cuts spark and sends unburnt fuel to the turbos to spool up, I'd recommend you read ls1tech forced induction because the engine in most mustangs is not suitable for big power
