The Doctors TV show: Bagel head Japan forehead saline inflation, bagelheads ベーグルヘッド
Japan subcultures blogger La Carmina - //www.lacarmina.com/blog - was a guest on The Doctors! The hit CBS daytime TV show, which tackles medical and ...
I can't say I have any interest in the bagel head subculture but to add to
the conversation on bodymodification in general I have in the past had
intense desires to remove entire limbs and even my eyes, also my genitals.
Though I have depression and aspergers and feel as though I'm trapped in my
body and so resent it. Hate it even. I believe theres a psychological term
for this but I forget what. When you think about how resistant people are
to change you have to wonder how they would react to -
things such as mechanical limb replacement commonly known as Cybernetics.
The science is in it's infancy but there are already people with
replacement limbs that can be moved through nerve impulses just the same
way you would move your own real arm. It still has a very long way to go
but it makes me interested in how conservative society will deal with the
inevitable extreme body modification of entire prosthetic bodys, not just
limbs. If I could I would happily have a prosthetic body.
Ok now while I love LaCarmina...I personally don't think there is any point
to this so called bagrl head trend. Especially if it goes away. What is the
poibt of doing it then? How much are these people spending on something
that goes away? Its not even really attractive. The 1st time I saw it I was
looking at the people like "whaaat" but hey more power to them if thats
what they like
one of my friend told me about this "Bagel head" just like a couple weeks
ago! i work at Hot Topic Hollywood with him. he goes to Japan all the time,
and he experienced it himself too. i wouldn't do it for myself tho.. haha.
ever since i caught the baseball on my forehead in the batting cage. i had
the exactlly same size of the bump on my forehead for a week. and i hated
that look >
See they act like it's so disgusting, but even they said make sure you do
it with some one who knows what they are doing. And though yeah it looks
gruesome, that doesn't matter. It's not to attract someone to you, it's
cause you wanted to do it
The doctors were really mean and rude, they were big meanies. La Carmina on
the other hand was amazing so nice and informative about everything. Well
Done!
Hope you enjoy my appearance on The Doctors! For photos from the filming,
