Billy Hill's Tattoo TV Episode #135 - Home tattoo man steals photos claims as his own
In this video we get to punk out a young scratcher who stole photos from Dan Smith and said they were his own... Please watch it is fun... Look for my future ...
Not trying to start shit but yeah that tattoo was horrible blown out dotted lines no transition from black to grey probably using contaminated ink from that cheap ass kit his machine doesnt even have real copper wire in it and while from a distance some ppl might not be able to tell right now from video but after it heals its gonna be shit
in art there are no rules that say wich colour you start with. if you are
good, you can do anything.you tattoo shops are copying others designs EVERY
DAY.so who is stealling in the end.a thief will point at another one so you
will not see that he is stealling, and it works every
time.
k.o.
Of course! Only pros can start with lighter colors, but they understand exactly why they're using that technique, and how to prevent the possible issues it can cause. This guy started with red, then black, and for what he said added MORE red... That means massive and unnecessary damage to the skin, leading to massive bleeding + (probably) dark colors staining the lighter ones, because he didn't know what he was doing = bad healing and a terrible looking tattoo.Where I come from they say you need to learn how to do things straight before you start doing them crooked... He needs to know how/why to do things a certain way, and then start finding his own way, you know? You need the basics!
+Matthew Ruaneyou are right. the reason why ,is because it is hard to do that.only pros kan start the other way.and they can get other results(they variate the style).don.t misunderstand me, i am not a scratcher fan .i am not anti tattoo shops either, i ve seen good ones believe me.the design thing is a paradox, there must be tons of people that did that , should we go after them all? waste of time.think the result talks - a good design becomes an ugly one the problem is when the scretcher is good and can copy perfectly-than it is a real problem.
There's a reason for starting with the darker colors and working your way to the lighter colors... I'd also like to add that following trends and tattooing what others come in asking for and claiming somebody else's finished product as your own are two completely different things.
+metalgodkill I'm not gonna argue with you. You have your own opinion, but actually I have had that happen. A few times. But I can't be mad at the artist, I got mad at the person he took my art. Now if a tattoo artist, famous or not, steals my art it would be a problem. Any self deserving artist of any medium would have the decency to ask and get permission to use artwork they knew belonged to someone else. But tattoo artists get famous off of their art because of the skill and precision it takes to perfectly replicate a photo or just to tattoo period. It's not like drawing. You can't just erase or start over if you mess up. So just think about that.
+phoenix mathewsdoing whatever a client wants sounds a bit like prostitution.and what if bills client comes with a drowing that that i made..... well as soon as a tatoo or drowing is being put on the net there is a high risk of abuze - period.but the real deal is when someone not in the kitchen but in a shop, takes a picture made by an artist somewhere and makes big buks. imagine it was youre art ....don.t think you would say the same thing.well this is just another perspective, that.s all.
In art there may not be rules, but there are things that affect the way the colors blend and look in the end. This is just my opinion from a painter's point of view. I know it's not the same as tattooing but in terms of mixing, blending, and shading with colors it's all pretty much the same. I mean whether you're painting or tattooing; yellow and blue make green. Being good doesn't mean you can do ANYTHING. You can't change the way colors react. The point being shown in the final work. Luke's tattoo looked sloppy. Not only because of his general lack of skill but also because the shading and coloring. Also, tattoo artist and shops do use other artists work. They do whatever their client wants. Sharing work and art between artists is part of being an artist. This kid isn't a professional tattoo artist so it's not like him and Dan Smith shared art. It's not even like he just copied the design and did one like it. He took Dan Smith's photo of the tattoo Dan Smith did and said HE did it. And wouldn't admit it until he was already proven a liar. THAT is what sets him aside from professional artists. How would you feel if someome took something you worked hard on and said they did it not you? Especially if their own art is sloppy and amateur. It's disrespectful for starters among other things. He is the theif.
