While on Christmas Vacation in 2013, I went to the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore Maryland. Here's a video of the train ride I took!

I like Harper's Ferry my Mom & I are planning on going up there when the
leaves are at their peak this Fall. Was all that coal harvested in West

THE CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR RAILROAD TRAIN FILM VISTA DOME ADVENTURE 70922

Even though I think the federal government damages more than helps,
practically all it touches, the railroads probably could've used the same

Travel sometimes originated, and terminated in some dicey places, and track
repairs would have made a difference to traveling families. Instead, many
of the stations were closed, which meant that instead of using the smaller
stations which were nearby, passengers had to make a trip into the nearest
city, and sometimes they couldn't even do that.
I did use the train, once, in 1981, but the extra travel, to and from
stations, close to 100 miles away made it terribly inconvenient. Since I
was nursing our son, my husband made sure that I had a roomette, which made
the actual ride thoroughly enjoyable.
