German Horse Show Held In Hamburg (1960)
Hamburg, Germany. MS.Pan from girls' bare feet up to their heads all looking over barrier at the horse jumping. Various shots of horses and their riders going ...
Horrible riding. He was stiff the entire ride. No release over jumps. He
was pulling so hard on the reins the entire time. The horse is sooooo
unhappy with the bit!
Everyone is commenting about his equitation and the bit and the spurs but
are we not going to address that he almost caused a collision while yucking
it up with the crowd
I do not like this guy, with his little whip and spurs. And that bit!
Horrible! I don't see good horsemanship here, only the horses' pain. I
can't really see if he has a bit or not, but it doesn't matter. They both
work the same.
+The90089 I suggest YOU learn more about how a bit like that effects a horse. I have seen 3 studies done about how a bit is bad for a horse, not one study yet has proven bits don't hurt horses. Gee, I wonder why? Maybe it's because sticking a metal bar in the sensitive mouth of a living being can do nothing but harm!
+Isobel201 If the horse becomes insensitive to leg cues that's the riders fault for being naggy. Whips, spurs and a bit are a cheat under saddle, a cheat that hurts the horse!
A whip doesn't hurt a horse if used correctly, an instructor once said to me, its better than using a lot of leg and then the horse becomes insensitive to the leg.
