Hey Pokemon Masters "Bird Keeper Toby here, Today I have a "Pokemon Theory" This "Pokemon Theory" discusses which Pokemon is truly the oldest Check ...
+Josh AdamsI meant that the whole concept of "before" shouldn't even exist at that point, so the only it would be possible would be twisted.I guess that really is kinda hard to get, sorry...
Arceus has been said to have been created everything that is y he is called
the god pokemon. he he also created allPokemon. he hatched from
nothingness.
rayquaza wasnt created just to stop groudon or kyogre. it lives above in the ozone consuming meteors etc. honestly it was probably created to protect the entire world from dangers from space. it draws its power from the meteors which gave it enough power to stop groudon and kyogre.
You can be a Pokémon and live for 10,000 to 1,000,000,000 (a
billion) years, and then get caught by some ten year old in a Poke Ball.
And who knows if Pokémon are "released" once their trainers die.
I've always had a theory on how the pokeballs work. so we know that once a trainer has caught a pokemon that pokemon must be obedient as long as the trainer has enough skill for the pokemon to respect them. Well i believe that the pokeball collects the DNA of the Trainer when they catch the pokemon or simply just holding the pokeball collects the DNA of the trainer which can indicate to the pokemon who to listen to and if they are skilled enough to have them follow orders. Well the modern pokeball can have a sort of connection that can tell if the trainer has died or if the pokeball has been lost for a long time. Time dosnt affect the pokemon because the pokeballs turn their bodies into light and data which explains why they dont have to eat while in the PC boxs. or you know... someone could just free the pokemon for the dead trainer or notify the pc to release the stored pokemon.
we indians love to hear about ourself , we think we know the truth , may be
we did in the past , but the truth now is that "our country is fucked up".
It all depends on how do you interpret "ukhaad liya"Different people have different interpretations.A smuggler takes it differently.A lecherous person differently.A doctor differently.A dedicated student differently.A coward differently & so on.So it all depends on your interpretation, what you are is the way you will interpret it.
+darko blake Sorry, dude you are very confused. You have not got the gravity of the Indian or rather Hindu contribution to the world.Again I am saying you have read wrong sources of information. I am not saying you to start believing in everything without analysis but you also need to be analytical in criticism which does not appear to be so.Well, Hindus invented Decimal System which also includes Zero. You do not seem to understand the import of this info. No civilization could grow beyond a certain limit without it, Greeks & Romans fell after a certain point in history. There are many other topics to discuss & explain but is not possible. Internet is a very helpful tool if you want to use it that way. Everything depends on Oneself.
May be this will make you clear , 1 JAPAN is ancient civilization , they discovered many things , they were progressive then , and even now .2. CHINA They were ancient civilization , they discovered many things , they are great now , becoming global economic power , now dont say they have communist and all atleast they are giving result nd 90% people of china , like their goverenment3 IRAN , SOUDI, AND EVERY OTHER ARAB COUNTRY IS ,ahead us in per capita income, they were also great, they are above us in Human Development Index , those we call terrorist are above us and they were also ruled by europeans , 5. Now we were great and now what 70% of the population lives below 1$ per day 50 rs bhaiii , dairy milk aati h crackle 50 rs ki , phone me recharge bh mein 100 se kam ni dalata hu mein , Now you will tell me we are diverse and all , islye dheere dheere ho jaayega , Bhaii jab tak hoga na tab tak , india jaayega kooda(garbage).Baaki duniya pahoch jaayegi mars pe , frr bh hum kahenge we discovered 0 , now you would be thnking why i criticize so much , Because you know hum 70 saal me kuch ni kiya , south korea ke baare me padhna kese unhone development kiya , bhaii 30 saal me sab badal diya , Hum bade h hamari population jaada h, to state bh to hh , state to chota h ,ek state to dhangse kaam kar sakta hh ,dekho kerela karta h , iska matlab baaki india india ke log chutiye hh , jo sirf jaat paat aur dikhawe me lage we hh ,abe tu khud soch what most of our parents tell us - beta try to become a govt employee why because nobody can fire you if you will not work our parents who tell us to study day and night , say not to cheat or steal , be obedient tell us at that . this is where whole problem starts our home we are taught not to give shit about our work that is our country , or agar wo hi banda baniya hoga na ek pesa ni chodega chahe kuch bh ho jaaye ) bas aur kuch ni yeh he le doobe ga humko.Thats why i dont appreciate India - i only appreciate ISRO i appreciate our scientist bas jo bichare h koi lage pade hh kyuki unko karna hh kuch , baaki india sai ni hai 125 crore me kuch log to sai honge hi bhaii BASIC PROBABILITY - islye dont be overproud of minor things try to see the bigger picture
+darko blakeI understand you but I also understand that maybe you concentrate too much on Indian Media like TOI, Hindustan Times, NDTV & the likes, Leftist Propaganda etc which is very negative in nature, not very informative, truthful or good for moral, mind & thoughts.Hindus are taught to start working than lamenting because lamenting is a very Leftist, very Ego satisfying self destructive tendency which should be discarded as soon as identified.
thats not my point man , everybody learns from everyone else, my point is we dwell more on our past than anyone else , MY POINT is that we were great once NOW WE ARE POOR AND DIVIDED AND SELFISH (95% of us ) , i dont have any concern what arabs or indians have done in past , what matters is where we stand today , look around you and tell IS INDIA great in present , what benefits India is what it is in present not what she was in the past ..I hope u understand ,
+darko blake It's your misconception. Arabs were in the middle of West & India & were the carriers of Goods from India to The West. In the process they also learnt some Maths & Astronomy from India which they introduced in West. When Westerners wrote history, they mentioned Arabs in it. Now how to know the truth. For that look at the Arabian AKA Islamic & Hindu Cultures.Hindus strongly believe in Astrology & had the complete sciences to map the picture of the solar system on a piece of paper at a child's birth, from this Astrology, Astronomy has emerged. In Islam even today the Mullah looks in the sky for the Moon to declare Eid which can be easily predicted by Hindu Lunar Calendar which means Astronomy was not a part of Arabian culture.AlGebra is an arabic word. The oldest evidences of AlGebra are in the Vedas which is now called as Vedic Maths. Hindus knew about Big Bang AKA OMn which is not a mean task. The equation of Towers Of Hanoi is from one of the Puraans stating the age of the Universe. The decimal system was invented by Hindus & was in use much before Arabs. All these things prove that it was India from where the knowledge was leaking towards West albeit through Arabs & Western bias against India is very well known around the world so you need to read a bit more from variegated sources to get the things in proper order.
+darko blake Self appreciation due to good things like science, philosophy, Over all good deeds for the humanity, is not a bad thing. If India is fucked up then Maybe it's because you didn't do your homework or in other words, you now need to do it.Times never ever remain the same, right out of Gita, The world is ever changing, Keep on doing your Karma.
iam a hindu(brahmin) by the way and i study a lot about other religion and in that i got to learn that muslims or mainly arabs , were also responsible for many mathematical discoveries they invented many things , they also did invade us (everyone was invading each other at that time , india was not special ) and ruled us for 500-600 yrs i dnt knw may be more , i ask this to all of our indian society primarily (hindu)-when we were so great in the past and so technologically advanced knew everything about the cosmos why did we get fucked up by those invaders the reason they gave us in history books is that they invaded us with horses. funny right we the most technologically advanced society lost to horses, that cant be possible , acoording to me we lost because we only care about ousrself a group a caste , we dont give a fuck if someone else is loosinng something , that doesnt happen anywhere at such a scale in any other nation .therefore when people say india was a great nation it was a birthplace to world leading technology .ITs wrong the truth is there were few people in India who were bright and solved the most unsloved problems and didnt bothered it to share them(may be some did) with others by creating class . u know why others nation except india grew because THEY DONT CARE and we care for every little fucked up shit.
+darko blake Thanks to Islam and its influence on India and its people. Hindus have turned Half-Shit, and Half-Mullahas, like Muslims who are Full Shit.
THE ORPHIC HYMNS (Gr. Ορφικοί Ύμνοι, ΟΡΦΙΚΟΙ ΥΜΝΟΙ) are a collection of
eighty-seven hymns to the Gods ,and on Astronomy of the late Pleistocene.
This book contains the ancient text of the 88 extant hymns. A detailed
investigation reveals that within the caves of the last Ice Age, i.e.
during the Middle Palaeolithic, the Greeks had laid the foundations of
Astronomy, first science of Man. Supported by the belief that the earth is
round, they crossed the "famous Oceanus" to the "opposite continent", that
is Atlantis or America. Their astronomical knowledge reached such heights
as those of the Zodiac and the 12 signs, Precession or Metaptosis, third
motion of the earth and even "equality of seasons". which have been used in
the Mystical rituals of the ancient Greeks, and they are believed to be
10,000 years old, based on certain clues found in the text itself. How
could Rig Vedas be older? DO NOT GIVE FALSE INFORMATION TO THE PEOPLE!
h o m eh i n d u c u l t u r e p a r t - 1c o n t e n t sQuotesBasicsScienceHistorySocialGlimpsesOther"India is the world's most ancient civilization. Nowhere on earth can you find such a rich and multi-layered tradition that has remained unbroken and largely unchanged for at least five thousand years. Bowing low before the onslaught of armies, and elements, India has survived every invasion, every natural disaster, every mortal disease and epidemic, the double helix of her genetic code transmitting its unmistakable imprint down five millennia to no less than a billion modern bearers. Indians have demonstrated greater cultural stamina than any other people on earth. The essential basis of Indian culture is Religion in the widest and most general sense of the world. An intuitive conviction that the Divine is immanent in everything permeated every phase of life," says Stanley Wolpert. Indic civilization has enriched every art and science known to man. Thanks to India, we reckon from zero to ten with misnamed "Arabic" numerals (Hindsaa - in Arabic means from India), and use a decimal system without which our modern computer age would hardly have been possible.Science and philosophy were both highly developed disciplines in ancient India. However, because Indian philosophic thought was considerably more mature and found particular favor amongst intellectuals, the traditions persists that any early scientific contribution came solely from the West, Greece in particular. Because of this erroneous belief, which is perpetuated by a wide variety of scholars, it is necessary to briefly examine the history of Indian scientific thought. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote in his book The Discovery of India: "Till recently many European thinkers imagined that everything that was worthwhile had its origins in Greece or Rome ." From the very earliest times, India had made its contribution to the texture of Western thought and living. Michael Edwardes, author of British India, writes that throughout the literatures of Europe, tales of Indian origin can be discovered. European mathematics - and, through them, the full range of European technical achievement – could hardly have existed without Indian numerals. But until the beginning of European colonization in Asia, India’s contribution was usually filtered through other cultures."Many of the advances in the sciences that we consider today to have been made in Europe were in fact made in India centuries ago." - Grant Duff British Historian of India. Dr. Vincent Smith has remarked, "India suffers today, in the estimation of the world, more through the world's ignorance of the achievements of the heroes of Indian history than through the absence or insignificance of such achievement."IntroductionBeginning of Indian Scientific ThoughtConcept of Time Physics MathematicsGrammarScienceEducation Chemistry and metallurgyShipbuilding and NavigationCommerceWealthIntroductionAccording to American Historian Will Durant in his book, The Story of Civilizations - Our Oriental Heritage ISBN: 1567310125 1937 p.391-396:"From the time of Megasthenes, who described India to Greece ca 302 B.C., down to the eighteenth century, India was all a marvel and a mystery to Europe. Marco Polo (1254-1323) pictured its western fringe vaguely, Columbus blundered upon America in trying to reach it, Vasco da Gama sailed around Africa to rediscover it, and merchants spoke rapaciously of "the wealth of the Indies." " It is true that even across the Himalayan barrier India has sent to us such questionable gifts as grammar and logic, philosophy and fables, hypnotism and chess, and above all our numerals and our decimal system. But these are not the essence of her spirit; they are trifles compared to what we may learn from her in the future. As invention, industry, and trade bind the continents more closely, and shall absorb, even in enmity, some of its ways and thoughts." "The indications are that Mohenjadaro was at its height when Cheops built the first great pyramid; that it had commercial, religious and artistic connections to Sumeria and Babylonia...as Sir John Marshall believes, Mohenjadaro represents the oldest of all civilizations known."Yaqubi (9th century) Muslim historian has written: "The Hindus are superior to all other nations in intelligence and thoughtfulness. They are more exact in astronomy and astrology than any other people. "The Siddhanta is a good proof of their intellectual powers; by this book the Greeks and Persians have also profited. In medicine their opinion ranks first."Al-Jahiz 9th century Muslim historian writes:"The Hindus excel in astrology, mathematics, medicine and in various other sciences. They have developed to a perfection arts like sculpture, painting, and architecture. They have collections of poetry, philosophy, literature and science of morals. From India we received the book called Kalilah wa Dimnah. These people have judgment and are brave. They posses the virtues of cleanliness and purity. Contemplation has originated with them."(source: The Vision of India - By Sisirkumar Mitra p. 226).The medieval Arab scholar Sa'id Ibn Ahmad al-Andalusi (1029-1070) wrote in his Tabaqat al-'umam, one of the earliest books on history of sciences:"The first nation to have cultivated science is India. ... India is known for the wisdom of its people. Over many centuries, all the kings of the past have recognized the ability of the Indians in all the branches of knowledge... The kings of China have stated that the kings of the world are five in number and all the people of the world are their subjects. They mentioned the king of China, the king of India, the king of the Turks, the king of the Persians, and the king of the Romans... They referred to the king of India as the "king of wisdom" because of the Indians' careful treatment of ulum (sciences) and all the branches of knowledge. ... The Indians, known to all nations for many centuries, are the metal (essence) of wisdom, the source of fairness and objectivity. They are people of sublime pensiveness, universal apologues, and useful and rare inventions. ... To their credit the Indians have made great strides in the study of numbers and of geometry. They have acquired immense information and reached the zenith in their knowledge of the movements of the stars (astronomy).... After all that they have surpassed all other peoples in their knowledge of medical sciences.."“That which has reached us from the discoveries of their clear thinking and the marvels of their inventions is the (game) of chess. The Indians have, in the construction of its cells, its double numbers, its symbols and secrets, reached the forefront of knowledge. They have extracted its mysteries from supernatural forces. While the game is being played and its pieces are being maneuvered, there appear the beauty of structure and the greatness of harmony. It demonstrates the manifestation of high intentions and noble deeds, as it provides various forms of warnings from enemies and points out ruses as well as ways to avoid dangers. And in this, there is considerable gain and useful profit.” (source: The Categories of Nations - By Said al-Andalusi. By the beginning of the third millennium B.C. in India, as in China, Egypt, and Mesopotamia, scientific development was well advanced. Excavations carried on at the sites of the Indus civilization have revealed remnants of an ancient civilization unsurpassed in civil engineering accomplishments, particularly baths and drainage. Whilst much is known of the hygienic measures of the period, little is known of the scientific knowledge upon which it was based. From the town Planning and Great Baths of Indus Valley it is evidence in the neat arrangement of the major buildings contained in the citadel, including the placement of a large granary and water tank or bath at right angles to one another. The lower city, which was tightly packed with residential units, was also constructed on a grid pattern consisting of a number of blocks separated by major cross streets. Baked-brick houses faced the street, and domestic life was centered around an enclosed courtyard. The cities had an elaborate public drainage system, Sanitation was provided through an extensive system of covered drains running the length of the main streets and connected by chutes with most residences. +nixter888 dont teach us distorted history fool. We Ind8ans have influenced and taught the Greeks philosophy and all the sciences. There was no migration into India from Europe but we migrated from India to all parts of the world not just Europe. Rigveda is the oldest text on earth. Ur Greek text of 10,000 yrs is a big LIE. U whites cant handle the fact that we brown Indians are the greatest beings on earth
I m not against greek philosophy but both greek and hindu philosophy are from the same ages and there is proven connection between two civilizations. Both are earliest known civilizations. There had been cultural/ scientific exchanges between two in the past. Physical evidence about connection is the the Heliodorus pillar erected around 110 BCE in central India in Vidisha near modern Besnagar, by Heliodorus, a Greek ambassador of the Indo-Greek king Antialcidas to the court of the Sunga king Bhagabhadra. The site is located only 5 miles from the Buddhist stupa of Sanchi. For more read about Hindu and Greek Deities : An Explanation for the Definite Connection between them: H.B. Augustine. Today many greeks became christians but indians are still retaining their religion.
+Apachetracker NOTHING CAN BE BETTER THAN THE GREEK PHILOSOPHY..Three Areas of Philosophy Theory of Reality : Ontology & Metaphysics--from the Greek ontos (being, reality) and logos (logic, understanding of) and meta (beyond) and physis (nature). Theory of Knowledge: Epistemology--from episteme and logos. Theory of Value: Axiology--from the Greek axios (worth, value) and logos.Theory of Reality.......How was Greek philosophy different from others? Or was it different? Even though "philosophy" is a Greek word, from phileîn, "to love," and sophía, "wisdom," perhaps it was just an other word of how people had always thought about things anyway. After all, it is not uncommon now for items of Egyptian literature, like the Instruction of Ptah.h.otep, to be listed as Egyptian "philosophy." So if Greek philosophy is to be thought of as different, there must be ways of specifying that difference. Similarly, if Greek philosophy is to be compared with Indian and Chinese philosophy, there must be something that they have in common, and that can be mutually contrasted with pre-philosophical thought............As it happens, Greek philosophy, and Indian and Chinese, were different from OTHERS and we can specify what the differences were. Pre-philosophical thought can be characterized as "mythopoeic," "mythopoetic," or "mythic" thought. "Mythopoeic" means "making" (poieîn, from which the word "poet" is derived) "myth" (mûthos). There is a large and growing literature about mythology, but here all that is necessary are the points what will serve the purpose of distinguishing philosophical thought from the thought of people in Middle Eastern civilizations (Egyptians, Babylonians, etc.) about the nature of things. With the identification of the characteristics of mythic forms of human thought, it becomes possible to identify the unique innovations of philosophy. Note that philosophic thought does not replace mythopoeic thought but supplements it... The theories of the earliest Greeks philosophers, especially those about whom we know the most, like Anaximander and Heraclitus, are systematic and internally coherent. If Greek philosophy was different from what came FROM OTHERS as previously considered, the next question would be, "Why the Greeks?" What was different about the Greeks that led to the origin of philosophy with them? Years ago, the simple answer might have been that the Greeks were "different," they just had some kind of special "genius" that enabled them to think about things in new and different ways. That kind of answer is unsatisfactory, not only because it doesn't really explain anything, not only because it sounds disturbingly like some kind of racism (the Greeks just must have been genetically different), but because it cannot then in turn explain why philosophy only occurred among some Greeks (e.g. Milesians, Athenians, etc.) and not among others (e.g. Spartans)The Greeks have been known by many names, depending on who was referring to them and when. In Homer, they are called, "Achaeans," , "Danaäns," , and other things. In the Classical period, a Greek is a Hellên, , the Greeks are the Hellênes, , and the country is Hellas, .East of Greece, we find a name that derives from Ionia, , where Greek philosophy began. In Sanskrit "Greek" was Yavana, . In Modern Arabic "Greek" or "a Greek" is Yûnânî, , and "the Greeks" is al-Yûnân, . Ionic is one of the basic dialects of Greek, and the name is also associated with one of the canonical styles of architecture, the Ionic Order, which is more delicate than the Doric but still less elaborate than the Corinthian. Ionia is also the source of what later became the standard Greek alphabet, with distinctive letters like "H" used for a long /e/, the êta, and a new ligature, the ômega, for a long /o/...........Apollonian values: (narrow:) lucidity, tranquility and rational, intellectual detachment. Extended (spiritual): truth, eternity , bliss, beauty , goodness and consciousness. Also generally associated with order and non-competitiveness. Philosophical: the term for everything that in its worldview, philosophy of life and art has the characteristics of the stable and balanced intellect, for everything striving for order and harmony. Values associated with the Greek god Apollo. Counterpart: the Dionysian values, the hedonistic lust for life .... Attachment: The state of being conditioned to an emotional preference also associated with a legal and/or personal bond. Defies logic and reason. Considered the source of lust feeding a loss of intelligence, anger, madness and disease. Attachment is usually considered a weakness of the ego leading to neurosis or ineffective behavior, whereas the same associated with the soul is considered manageable love forgiven and graced as a form of service to God....ausality: According Aristotle (384-322 v. Chr.) in his Physics are there four different types of causality: to the substance, like in 'the bronze precedes the bronze statue', to the determining form as in 'the form of a horse is essential to all horses and the cause of it that we name them thus', to the doer like in 'the artist constitutes the cause of his creation' and the causality of the norm as in 'I stroll for my health and that is the cause of my strolling'....- The ego cultivated as a form of science or a religion offers an I-awareness which finds its fulfillment in the blissfulness of the principial fundamental to the reality of the soul. In the scientific with its paradigmatic struggle and uncertainty finds the ego in the impersonal not really the satisfaction of the equilibrium and taken personally turns the ego into a religion not directly according or peaceful with the other ego's in that context (analytically it is then: superego).. - Wisdom=ΣΟΦΙΑ is best at its place in the personal because it then results in a consciousness which, as well recognizable in the transcendental as in the concrete of matter, has its place and meaning. Together with the impersonal self that is eternal and the blissful I-awareness that is principial is, is then the consciousness complete or filognostic , of love for the knowledge or of the reality of the soul). Wisdom taken impersonally runs into an endless discussion of truths, facts and opinions which, despite of its stability, is constantly looking for its completeness and integrity. To the principle one may with wisdom analyze many a thing, but then is also, despite the in meditation found satisfaction, the integration questionable because the colliding of one analytic ego with the other (the conflict of schools). In the analytical there is no automatic respect for the integrity of the knowledge, or for the the person. a classical term for the medium of the spirit. According to the ancient Greeks was it the substance from which light emanated. In greek mythology the god Aether is the soul of the world. be considered the personification of the ether and as an element may it be regarded the representation of the supersoul,........: the word filognosy is derived from the greek word filo - love and gnosis - knowledge. +nixter888 THere are lot of similarities of stories between the Indian and the Greek stories . Infact a lot of stories about Krishna and Christ...like slaying the first born etc... //hinduism.about.com/od/lordkrishna/a/christ_krishna.htm . As cultures evolve they take on stories from travellers and move on. BUT THE FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE IS IN THE philosophy of MONOTHEISM In Samkhya and Yoga schools of Indian philosophy, "there are two irreducible, innate and independent realities 1) consciousness itself (Purusha) 2) primordial materiality (Prakriti)". The unconscious primordial materiality, Prakriti, contains 23 components including intellect (buddhi, mahat), ego (ahamkara) and mind (manas). Therefore, the intellect, mind and ego are all seen as forms of unconscious matter.Thought processes and mental events are conscious only to the extent they receive illumination from Purusha. Consciousness is compared to light which illuminates the material configurations or 'shapes' assumed by the mind. So intellect after receiving cognitive structures form the mind and illumination from pure consciousness creates thought structures that appear to be conscious.Ahamkara, the ego or the phenomenal self, appropriates all mental experiences to itself and thus, personalizes the objective activities of mind and intellect by assuming possession of them. But consciousness is itself independent of the thought structures it illuminates.THE THOUGHT PROCESS is far greater than most Greek philosophers dealt with ego and stopped on the banks of the Hades. This is where the Indian Philosophy went deeper.
+Cris Angle I know exactly what the Vedas are!...The name cognates to Greek (ϝ)εἶδος "aspect", "form..and cognates to Greek (ϝ)οἶδα (w)oida "I know". the root cognates are Greek ἰδέα...ΓΝΩΣΗ=KNOWLEDGE..We have information, that Greek Vraghides, and Brahmins ,are one and the same....The so-called Indo-European(a modern term that does not really exist,it's actually Pelasgian Greek) did not come from India to Europe-as they have instilled wrong - but from Europe to India. The same goes for the Greek language, which they say, belongs to the so-called Indo-European languages , while the substance is Pelasgian language, as it evolved over the centuries to the place where was spoked,in Greece! The alleged Indo-European or Aryan peoples were Pelasgians from the Aegean Sea and the areas around and it brought the culture in the country of the Ganges. The 'Sufi' (sages) are class of India, like the Brahmins is another special class of priests. The Brahmins took their worship and their organization of the ancient Milesians Branchides, who were priests of the oracle of Apollo in Didyma, towing the establishment of the mythical Vakcho. originally went to the land of Sogdon and then relocated to the mouth of the Indus River....Therefore ,the Vedas is the Greek knowledge that was brought to India thousands of years ego...The ancient Greek writers and biographers of Alexander the great wrote that when the Great King went to India and met with many Brahmins who had Greek Education, spoke the Greek language! As you can see there is a very big connection between, the GREEK ΓΝΩΣΗ=and the SANSKRIT VEDA WHICH DERIVES FROM GREEK (w)oida "I know"=knowledge, and this knowledge is of great age. Herodotus informs us that the Mysteries that were TAUGHT in Greece by Orpheus, the son of Apollo, from whom he received his seven-stringed lyre or the seven-fold initiation. He was the divine muse of Homer, he was behind the sublime theology of Pythagoras and he was the inspiration of Plato. They were kept secret in the Mystery Schools, then it would be up to the scientists or philosophers to tap into the ‘veiled mysteries’, in order to ‘unveil them.’ But then they would have to ‘veil them’ once again, in order for the mysteries to reach those who had eyes to see and ears to hear them. This was the paradox – TO KNOW, TO DARE, TO DO, and TO BE SILENT......To participate in these mysteries one had to swear a vow of secrecy. The Greek Eπωδές =Epodes, are your Upanishads.......Four categories of people participated in the Eleusinian Mysteries:(ELEUSIS IS ONE OF THE MANY MYSTERY PLACES)Priests, priestesses, and hierophants.Initiates, undergoing the ceremony for the first time.Others who had already participated at least once. They were eligible for the fourth category. Those who had attained épopteia (Greek: ἐποπτεία) (English: "contemplation"), who had learned the secrets of the greatest mysteries of Demeter...The procession to Eleusis began at Kerameikos (the Athenian cemetery) on 19th Boedromion from where the people walked to Eleusis, along what was called the "Sacred Way" (Ἱερὰ Ὁδός, Hierá Hodós), swinging branches called bacchoi.
