How to number my rows in excel Videos

OK, here's one for you. In a sheet of data associated with the first of the month, one of those dates gets designated as the start date for a quarterly summary sheet. The selected date can only be one of four kinds 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, 10/1. For each set of those four dates, the year increments. It's easy enough to do by drag expansion from the start date (in A2), e.g., =if(month(A2)=10,date(year(A2)+1,1,1),date(year(A2),month(A2)+3,1)) However, how can you populate the the quarterly sheet using an array formula, thus mitigating the need for user intervention? Could one way be every nth date from the dates column for months? If so, how do you populate it with an arrayformula? Good luck.

Duuude! You saved my life with this loool. I spent almost an hour trying to use a formula like "=+1" but with no success! Thank u so much! Ps: you should just have mentionned that we need to double click on the corner of the cell after the little trick. Cheers to all the Excel noobs and experts :D
