Hanna explains how a USB drive works
Edit: USB STICK FTW - Works like a charm!
Yeah..since a few days now, my Wii stopped reading ISOs and two specific games; SSBM, and SSBB. It can read any other original disc correctly.. Any ideas?
Damn it. I just think I have to clean it, because it seems to be dusty. If
that doesn't work, I would need to get a new disc. But damn, I have no
money. As for sending it to Nintendo and getting that message, my friend
got the exact same thing. No need to call them jack asses, they don't have
to fix your Wii if you hacked it, which is not a good thing. If I was them,
I'd charge people, but I would still fix hacked Wiis. As long as there
aren't stolen games on the Wii, but homebrew only.
I think you're right about the disc lens. Same thing happened to me and my
hacked Wii with Brawl (I'm fortunate enough to have a backup Wii in case my
hacked one gets bricked or just bites the dust). Nintendo offers repairs
for the disk lens, even if you hacked, but you gotta make it look like you
didn't hack, I think (my friend removed the HBC from his Wii before he sent
it in, and it came back fixed).
this exact same thing happened to me and now my wii stopped reading ANY
DISC WHATSOEVER i have to say this: your screwed. ur disk drive is probably
fcked up now the only option is get a new wii because if u send urs to
nintendo with Homebrew channel on it they will just send it back without
trying to fix it all and leave a note saying "SORRY THERES NO WAY TO FIX
THIS, BUY A NEW WII" those jackarses >_>
That's what I thought about doing, but my parents don't want to give me
money, and I only have money for school right now. The disc I use for Brawl
is my original one, since my Wii stopped reading ISOs before Brawl stopped
working. All of my ISOs give me disc errors, and Brawl does not load at all
except I spam the launch button on Backup Launcher, until I get to this
screen.
The only thing I can think of is the brawl disk has scratches near the
center of the disk or your wii lens is shot. You can always by a wii lens
cleaner and see if that does the trick though. If either of those dont work
I would recommend buying an external hdd. They go for about 50 to 60 bucks
on newegg.com so I would recommend you save up for that when you get the
chance.
@MarineMechX2 it happens and as far as i know, it has nothing to do with
the lens but it happened with my friend, just brawl and melee, and now his
wii doesn't even turn on, and he doesn't even create or use hacks so its no
form of a brick due to that.i know about the bluetooth and wi fi module
broken thing but i think he got f**ked by the game idk. just a theroy.
This is happening to a lot of wiis now. It happened to mine about a month
ago. The earliest Wiis had disc drives that weren't designed to handle dual
layer discs, however nintendo later made brawl.. on a dual layer disc. You
just need to replace the disc drive with a newer one and i believe it
should be good. It worked for me.
WOW. You're having the same problem I've been having for 3 years, now...
BRAWL. MELEE. The ONLY two games I have problems with when it comes to the
Wii... WHY?! Currently, I can actually play Brawl... but I cannot pick
Mario, DK, Fox, or Falco, lest I get an automatic load error. So gay...
You're not the only one who offered me that, but I'd prefer to test what I
make by myself, since it's a much faster process, and if something is
messed up, I will know what it is exactly. If it freezes, then I can test
it again faster instead of always sending remade files.
wow, bad luck lately huh? This happened to one game disk of mine, i think i
let it alone for a very long time and i tried again just for kicks and it
started working again. Im not sure you would get such luck, but either way
i do hope it could be repaired.
Well Nintendo did a Ninja Update that forced Wiis to update with out you
knowing while playing a Wi-fi game. I think your one of the people who got
f*cked. Like me, except Nintendo completly wiped my wii and forced it to
D_False whenever it was started up
I read the description. Is it an old Wii? Did you send it to Nintendo so
they can have a dual layer disc reader fixed? They'll do it for free,
extend your voided warranty, and won't anything twords your hacks.
(Happened to me.)
I'd buy a usb then, an 8GB. That'd be enough to hold brawl and you can
always swap games from your pc until you can get an HDD. That's what I did
when my laser broke, I waited for a hard drive to go on sale and now I use
that.
Go to Best Buy, and buy something called, "dvdDr". I had the exact same
problem, literally the exact same thing. I kept putting the disk in and out
and then in again. When I bought dvdDr, it worked like a charm...
I remember when this happened to me, I sent mine to Nintendo for them to
clean my lens and they made sure that the game would play before they sent
it back to you, and best of all they charge you nothing for it
@BigSharkZ It's possible to play brawl mods with a backup? I'm having a
similar problem, can you explain to me what to do? Smashboards doesn't
support backups discussion, so I don't know who else to ask x.x
Well, they can find that your Wii has been hacked, even if you remove
everything. That, and I can't even make a backup of everything I have, for
some reason. It only works with a few channels and saves.
@thebigman2121 the laser can't be completely broken, and if it was skipping
parts of the disks then it would probably get this error at least once on
some other games that aren't SSBB and SSBM.

Tesla with USB Mouse and Floppy Drive!!
This is a brief overview of the Tesla Model S audio system followed by experiments with USB devices. It turns out that USB Keyboards and USB CD Drives do ...
Have you tried making a data CD? Burn the music on there in data mode, I
think the problem with a music CD is that they are burned in a different
format and file type that isn't readable that way, though I'm not sure why
you would do that, when you could get a tiny usb drive that can hold
hundreds of GB of data, vs a max 8.something GB dual layer DVD.
USB Keyboards used to work right up until mid-2013. Surprised that a CD
drive would not work, when a floppy disc does. Are you inserting a regular
data CD with audio files? An audio CD would not work.
I could understand the Random request, but finding a particular song using Album or Artist works fine for me. Maybe I just don't have enough music. ;-)
It does, I have friends who have the giant HDD's (like 1TB) hooked up to their cars with their entire music library all stored there. This is one of the reasons people have been begging for a "random" button on the car playback as well as some other media options to make their massive libraries more manageable. Because as it stands it gets a little much to just find one single song you want to listen to if you have a really big library.
