Almost as bad as your Godhand review IGN. Greg Miller, your criticism is
very nitpicky and subjective.
You complain about the pop-culture references. Those were some of the best
parts of the game, maybe you didn't grow up with these things, but a lot of
us did, and we found these references to be hilarious and added to the game
immensely.
You say finding things in the city is cumbersome, I never had problems
finding things in RCR, everything is very intuitive. The missions are
extremely varied and I never felt bored because the gameplay would switch
to something completely different in the very next mission. The difficulty
spikes were somewhat annoying, but these were addressed in patches so this
review is already obsolete and inaccurate. You re-reviewed other games
under the auspices of your new review policy to re-review games that are
still supported and patched, but you never re-reviewed RCR.
Overall, this is a very poor review, it doesn't represent the consensus
held by most review sites as is evinced by metacritic and gamerankings, and
the dislike bar speaks for itself, to which I contributed to.
+EnigmaHood This I thought the entire game was fucking great. so great I even got the DX version for my 3DS so I can play it on the go! But I will admit that final mission is WAAAAAAY too difficult like seriously it's just a random spike in difficulty for no reason. If it's trying to pay homage to old games having sudden difficulty spikes I really feel they kinda shouldn't and probably didn't need to. :/ seriously I just hate that final mission it's sooo irritating.
The only reason I play these kind of games is to run around and do random
stuff like an idiot, not really for the missions.. I think I would waste a
few.. Million.. Hours with this game..
~Aww!~ Poor wittle baby weviewer can't take the difficulty? Boo Whoo!
Here's a bottle just for you, Greg!
It's a fucking GTA-structured game simulating classic NES titles from the
80s, which by the way, were *meant* to be tough, even if there were
difficulty spikes throughout. Mediocre my ass! I personally like this game!
Retro City Rampage gets a 7 in my book.
This review is terrible, the faults he mentioned here are at the heart of
every game of this type (open world shooter/GTA clone) so surely games like
GTA V should have not been given perfect 10s across the board and instead
gotten say.... A 6 (sarcasm aside, GTA 5 really only deserved a 7.9) Retro
City Rampage got slammed here for no reason outside a bad reviewer.
I will agree the review was bad, shit i dont like greg as much as a reviewer but instead as a interviewer. That said this game deserved a 7 or 8 at most. In all honesty though, kinda shocked you said gta 5 was 7.9. I think that game deserved a 10 or the 9s it got. IGN can sometimes bullshit but they do know good games that deserves the 10s(GTA V,Zelda:Skyward Swordand The Last Of us)
We've been over this already. I haven't unsubscribed from your channel yet.Now do you feel suitably ashamed for mistaking the Beet Buster symbol for Stag Buster's? They're your favorite Go-Busters, too!
+r0kush00 well i happen to know for a fact because mascot told me so, that he was trying to make a sandwich he was making for loriplan more epic by using it to cut the sandwich after making it, and as he was trying to do the fancy blade twirl ending pose he cut himself, thus the bandaid.
I found your video very informative and enjoyable and very funny in some of
the assembly part of the video. Now, for the informative parts #1 You
showed and answered every disassembly of the firearm to me.(that's what is
great about that part) #2 You were enjoyable because I was drinking a beer
with you. #3 You cracked me up when the assembly was getting close to the
end of videoing. "No pun intended " but the beer you were drinking was
challenging you to talk crooked "as an Indian would say" It's ok because to
me your video has all the stuff in it that makes a great video, to me
anyways.... good job I needed the whole package tonight.
great video-very informative--I own a 61-2 in nickel so this was very
helpful--keep up the good work---I really liked the fact that you had no
music or phones ringing
