It probably got the caprice name because that's what GM Holden in Australia
have been badging the "luxury" version of the Holden Commodore since the
early 90s. The Pontiac G8 is a rebadged Holden Commodore, the Caprice is a
similar car, but with a longer wheelbase and slightly different skin.
"GMH rules!" lol. whatever. I'd buy a Japanese car over an Australian car
any day. Poor Holden are threatening to close shop if Tony Abbott doesn't
give them another $250m or whatever it is just to stay afloat so even
though I don't own a Holden, i'm still paying for one!
Holden Caprice - favoured by Limo operators here in Australia. Sure its a
Chev engine, and other US parts, but its Aussie engineers that put them all
together to make work better than anything the US can throw together at the
moment. Better luck next time GM - GMH rules!
The new caprice is just a Pontiac G8 renamed, it shouldn't have ever got
the name caprice, its a discrace to the old ones, the last real caprice was
1996. Thanks GM for disappointing me yet again
Folks, calm down and just enjoy the video. Who cares where the car is made
or who designed it so long as it serves as a good chariot for officers to
do their work?
