Hyundai brought this to Concours d'Elegance Pebble Beach and I was the only person at their booth. I sat in the Equus and its cheap, cheap materials, cheap plastics thats why its cheap cost. I mean its a good competitor for those Chinese car luxury companies. No RICH person wants to look rich, they just go with the real thing. This wont take any customers away from Benz, BMW, or Audi. It'll persuade people that haven't a clue of automobiles.

The only reason why somebody would say Bentley is better is because of the brand your paying for quality but your over paying for the brand the dumb name in all reality if take the hyundai I'm not the type if person to waste so much money on just a name the Equus and the genesis sedan is deffinatly worth the price they have just about the same quality as other over priced cars

The Hyundai representative in this video doesn't know shit about the Equus. He left out a kit of stuff and said that the Equus didn't have features that it actually does have. Like the Equus' manual book is an iPad. And the front passenger seat can be adjusted by a press of a button on the rear controls. There are a lot of other things this guy left out. I'd take the Equus

@goodcar96 - True. But its cheap. Not as in low cost, but cheap as in materials and quality. You think Hyundai spends 100,000 and sells it for 80K? No, where as the Germans actually do spend a lot to build the car, so their profit is not crazy big.

@xpo38 that is correct, i can confirm because I spoke to the CEO of hyundai, and recently rode in a pre-production veloster and I must say it is really nice, both inside and out. interior is great, very comfortable, and its going to be priced agressively, but of course affordable to those either in high school/college...

@oOoironhideoOo Possibly since the engine is based on the Evo engine in which Hyundai sold to Mitsubishi which then a few coporations joined in to make the GEMA engine which powers a few vehicles from the Chrysler Group, Mitsubishi and Hyundai & Kia themselves.

I really, REALLY hope that this will be the EXACT look of the Equus that is heading to the U.S. for sale!? It is absolutely a GORGEOUS piece of machinery! The clear lenses on either side of the license plate area, adds the PERFECT touch, that's been missing in previous photos. The feature to value ratio is off the charts, fit and finish seems to be on point, power, comfort....Hyundai has another Game-Changer on it's hands!!!!...... and No One saw this coming!
