The U.S. Drone Program Is Fatally Flawed - Intelligence Squared U.S. Debates
Remotely piloted aircraft, or drones, have been the centerpiece of America's counterterrorism toolkit since the start of the Obama presidency, and the benefits ...
Debaters for the motions weren't good enough. You should have got JEREMY
SCAHILL, IBRAHIM MOTHANA, FAREA AL-MUSLIMI. Ahmed is good and they both
bring up some very good points. Results were very troublesome and
ridiculous.
+famousgirl9x9 Ahmeds answer at 1:02:00 illustrates how irrational and emotionally based the counter-drone argument is. Is "sinister" not another word for effective? He may as well have said "its unfair that America has such effective weapons".
People brag about how the US is the best. The drone program is a failure,
troops got their ass kicked, CIA intel is a failure, the best in killing
innocent people.
+TheBlackwater200 Sorry the U.S. troops got their ass kicked? By who, Iraq? Who do you think sustained less losses than the U.S? Lol saying the U.S got their "asses kicked" in Iraq or Afghanistan is hilarious mate.

One of the best sentences ever written did not need to be amended: "We hold
these truths to be self evident: That all men are created equal and endowed
by their creator with certain unalienable rights..." It doesn't say 'all
Americans' or 'all predator wealthy elite'...All humanity-equal.
Yet here we surrender reasonable oversight to a group of spineless
politicians/lawyers to do the bidding of those who feel they have right to
absolute control of resources. Resources that are a heritage and
inheritance of all humanity. By claiming ownership they continue to blindly
plunder those resources, refusing reasonable control of their distribution.
Petroleum is a prime example of a resource which might have lasted a
disciplined people well over ten thousand years, but disastrous and
wasteful management and a selfish greedy people have used this precious
material in a manner so frivolous that it boggles the imagination. Our
landfills (eventually to be dug up for the vast wealth within) are laden
with materials that should never have been produced. (Chinese oscillating
fans as an example).
Two myths: One is the notion of 'human progress' (thank you C Hedges for
illuminating so many truths) and the other is the idea of something being
'disposable'.
It begs the question of why would we expect an excellence in governance
when few people choose excellence in their own lives?
+D Taylor The piece above you wrote is--in my judgement--excellent. Very eloquent and spot on. Yet there are those who are willing to overlook the most important element in your writing just to point out that you have not been [quite] politically correct. That is the thing of ideological mindset. No matter how brilliant your comment, statement or what-have-you may be, it will not be recognized as such if you don't insert the word "women" somewhere in your statement.
It is implied that time has altered societal perceptions so that it is implied. But as long as we're on the subject, are you implying that the word people needs to be substituted?
This is so sickening. We are supposed to be freeing them not killing them.
We bombed there hospital, now we are just randomly killing them. Obama
needs to STOP THIS. I pray Bernie Sanders gets in office, I know that he
will not stand for this.
+nightlightabcd the thing is, drone murders create MORE radicals, MORE terrorists. Plus, because of wrongs WE have suffered, we can't sink to their level and butcher the innocent.
+Lorrie Sigley - The whole Mideast is controlled by religious leaders, mad men and half the population is under the religious spell of being slaves and minions of a fictitious supernatural being, meaning that these religious nuts and their minions can say most anything and is could be punishable by death to challenge them. You seem to be dismissing that the US was attacked twice by these mad men and have declared war against the US and have beheaded American, British and Japanese citizens, not to mention thousands of people of the Mideast. The whole Mideast can be thankful that the US does not kill them all. If would be far, far worse if it were the other way around! maybe you should think about that!

Still too little, too late. I'd gladly hit her with a drone launched Hellfire missile given the chance. Maybe hit Michael Bloomberg with another.Though CNN would still report both of them as having been killed by an AR-15 anyway.
Right. Government drones are going to record me, get fines sent to my house, put me in jail, and destroy my life, all because they have the power to do so.What's a private drone going to do, pitch me an ad on my phone?
Yea, she's anti gun, doesn't think we should have privacy... but armed drones over our heads?...oh that's just too much.lol
"US carrying out secret drone program in Syria"
The United States is reportedly carrying out a clandestine drone campaign in Syria. The Washington Post has reported that the CIA and US Special Forces are ...
If they can justify the drones are not an act of warfare on the
state/country that they operate in, its only a matter of time before other
countries that believe and label some people in the US as such threats, and
began their own campaigns of drones in the US airspace. Americans that sat
back and supported these actions, have a very rude awaking in the future.
No, it will be more like USSR in the 90's IMHO. Many states did better then others after the break up of the block. But within a couple years of isolation, things began to improve for almost all of them. The first six months was the worst. That's when they had the mile long bread lines. US within it self, minus the military waste, could make some positive numbers, very minimal, but positive. They still need to close the ports and increase tariffs, but at this point in the game, better to wait until after the holidays, lol, or the sheeps will go mad by mid winter. But with Russia and China each dumping US treasury's and dollars, well, may not make it even that long. Think its by the end of this month, most of the Christmas shiet is in port. So one last show of everything's ok?
+Louloe Everybody who has the gold and silver will jump ship when the dollar falls. The 1% already started leaving. The 1% had South Koreans build massive live aboard ships bigger than cruise ships. They will leave the rest here to fight for the scraps until massive chaos, starvation and canabolizim ensues. I see Mad Max on steroids.America's toast, only the lucky ones will escape in time, then the boarders will be sealed. The Congress sold us out to the tribe. Now Americans have to pay the price for the tribe using US forces to kill 50 MILLION civilians in 70 countries just since WWII.Or not.
+stophypocrisy I have a feeling most are going to pull out of the US. After seeing Warner Brothers up and moving to China, it's only a matter of time before many others industry's, including military tech, follow suit. With TPP still in limbo, yet the ASEAN free trade agreement fully in effect, the back door US was hoping on, seems like it may have been slammed shut now. So Corps are going to have to venture over sea's to gain those advantages.
+Louloe I'm sure thats what they are hoping for, then the military contractors get rich on American fear.

One thing I do like about America being so hated. No one wants to come here
anymore. No more overcrowding of our cities, schools, hospitals and social
services. I am so glad they stopped coming here legally and crossing the
borders illegally. We are so hated no one wants to come here anymore. Works
every time.
You shouldn't just hate America, it's practically the whole world. Of course we are living in a bad time that appears to be getting worse, but it would be a sin to think there won't be some resistance.
people behind a shadow goverment are the ones doing these things to happen called the bilderberg group and bohemian grove are the enemys we need to get rid of these secret societys george bush henry kissinger george h.w bush bring these people to justice where they belong
The only drones dangerous to commercial airliners are Military Drones flown
by your favorite government. I would not hesitate to go on a collision
course with a privately owned styrofoam & plastic, commercially sold little
flyers.
Military drones are 1/2 to 3/4 the size of a real fighter/bomber and build
of tougher materials, often carrying missiles if not a main gun. The videos
you see of them are deceptive because of no size reference to compare to.
+xo1Justin1oxMonetary Systems only lead to Capitalist Dictatorship, Hierarchial Governments always embraced money because they can give themselves the authority to print or make as much as they want. If not that, make wars and steal from those that have more than you. We are in this soup because of Mega Greed, No Business Rules, No Profit Caps, No Enforcement over Pollution Limits, No Repairs for Pollution, No Unions to protect workers rights & their environment. Outright Modern Day SLAVERY. Why do you think Apple's Chinese Factories put up suicide nets ? WAKE UP SHEEPLE !!!
dude why would you wanna get rid of them stores it has nothing to do with that think of this how are we going to buy food and resources if theres no stores that doesn't make sense cyberat rodent
+xo1Justin1oxOther people we need to get rid of are past & present Owners & CEOs of : Exxon-Chevron-Conoco, JP Morgan-Wachovia-HSBC-Citi, All Farm/State-Esurance-Progressive-The General-GEICO, Microsoft-Apple-Walmart-Sears-Bestbuy-FrysE.-Costco-Target-Kroger-Albertsons-Monsanto. As well as all past & present sockpuppet presidents, senators and congressmen still alive.
+Cyberat Rodent that's why i'm getting more radio shows and media to expose this to millions of people bring these scumbags to justice and remove the rothchilds to bring the rest of these criminals to justice like henry kissinger david rockefeller george w bush and george h.w bush to justice and other people we need to get rid of
+xo1Justin1oxYes, The Bilderbergs are at the top, but they use government & DoD to execute their deeds. Officers used to be dismissed for immoral actions, well guess what, now they can keep the scumbag officers, because with drones, you can't tell who pushed the button.
not the goverment that's doing this it's people who meet behind closed doors breaking the law and doing war crimes and doing these things to happen called the bilderberg group they own half the world they steal money from goverments they crashed the economy in 2008 not on purpose they made 9/11 attacks happen they killed 1 million innocent people in iraq the whole 9/11 was a fraud to push more police state we has a people can stop this from happening
