Why are companies even thinking about hydrogen. Fuel cell cars create even
more water, adding insult to injury in terms of sea level rise and they
still want to do this? I know they create a small amount of water, but that
could be said about each car creating CO2 and now look at the ice caps. We
should be using sewage, cow waste, pig waste and plant mass like hemp and
sugar cane.
We can keep combustion engines. I know we can. Brazilians swap the engine software so that they can run on ethanol or methanol. This is something so simple We can do this.In countries like mine, Canada, we have a vast wealth of water, so does Brazil, Russia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greenland and parts of america. There are so many places that have the potential to be cultivated. I just mentioned places with an abundance of water, the water fro those places, primarily Canada, should be used to irrigate the Southwest United States and also Texas, all for the purpose of growing hemp, sugar cane, soy corn and much more. Corn is very interesting because the actual eatable part would be used for fuel but, the stock, leaves and husk could be dumped into the ocean to help re-alkalize the oceans, without the use of using pure calcium.
because we would most likely be using sea water to do this in mass quantities so it doesn't matter. also, all those trucks going down the highway filled with crap from China aren't going to get anywhere if they have to be powered by batteries and the government wants to get rid of diesel.
+Landon Thomas Car companies pursue hydrogen because govts are giving them money to do so. The Japanese govt is dumping tons of money into hydrogen and CA gives more ZEV credits for hydrogen than batteries.Electricity has the advantage that it can easily come from any source--incinerators, geothermal, solar, wind, etc. I can easily put solar panels on my home and make my own fuel--there's no chance I would do that with hydrogen.
