Pretty slow for a 650hp 4400 lb SL whatever it is. The SL600's were twin
turbo 5.5 lite V12's from 2003 on. They made 493hp/590tq till 2006, the
power went up slightly, to 500-510hp and 610-612tq, not enough to make any
difference. The SL65 AMG had the 6.0L twinturbo for 604hp/738tq... Now for
some performance specs. When the domestic magaines tested a SL600/493hp,
they got supposedly a 3.6 sec 0-60. 8.3 0-100 and 11.8@121 mph. Then in
2006, they tested the 100 lb heavier mighty SL65 with 604hp. It did 0-60:
3.6 sec, 0-100: 8.5 and 12.1@120 in the 1/4. Hmmmm, something was not
right. Then I actually bought a 2006 SL600. Stock. It did not feel like it
could run to 60 in under 4 sec, I was right And ran it against my buddy
with his stock 2003 C5 corvette (0-60: 4.7 according to mags)... Well after
ten runs, I could not pull more than 5-7 feet on him. I finally decided its
likely a 4.5 sec 0-60 machineeels even run with a SL55 which had the same
hp but was 130 lbs lighter and, AND a AMG 7 spd, vs the 5 spd auto and
gentle gearing in the SL600. So, after talking friend at Car and Driver to
hook up a fifth wheel to my car, he ran some hard data,at near sealevel in
64 degree air with a DA of 109 ft above sealevel, excellent conditions, he
came back with numbers that confirmed my suspicions: 0-60: 4.6 sec, 0-100:
9.4 sec and 1/4: 12.6@115 mph. So, I asked, how did a SL600 in your mag and
another run as fast as a SL65? To which he said, "I think it was tuned",
don't share that beyond us. Because my hp and tq over my buddy's vette took
over above 80 and I put 1.5 cars on him by the 1/4 in his vette. The SL600
was a reliable car despite my heavy right foot. I just which there was more
for less. The few companies that make parts think since it's a 6 figure
Benz, that they can charge $3000 for the same exact part on a Honda that
sells for $350. Or simple mufflers for $2500. You'd think those small
mufflers were made of Diamonds and Gold. All I wanted was to be able to run
with the other friend with the SL65 and keep my SL in a better performance
class than a 2000' C5 base vette. 700hp/750tq along with a few weight
saving things should put a 700 hp SL600 down the track in mid 11's at 125
on sticky tires. Oh, and Soulseracher, I take it you finally realized that
reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4 time or speed.
I think u got me all wrong. We're both car guys.I was just giving info. As
fo rthe name calling;I dont respond 2 it because I dont engage down to that
level. Back to cars; These things are lead sleds & have hornets nest when
it comes to software (3000+ maps!). After 3 years of R&D we got this V12 TT
to a record 1000HP+ and 198mph at the Texas Mile (See vid). Here is a link
to the build project . Enjoy.

@soulsearcher1234 I concluded that from the evidence in the video and the
details you typed. mbworld.org is too busy for me to go through the
navigation. If there is more evidence than supply it. Maybe spend more time
worrying about the comments with name calling Americans below.
@deejaydaze Perfectly normal conclusion on your part. Dont think in terms
of chevys, fords,supras & ricers (Thats you're reference...right?)...
mbworld.org would b a good source for u if ur interested.
What the Panamera Turbo S boost comes onboard it's like nothing i've ever
felt before in a 4 door sedan. The Panamera Turbo S is INSANELY FAST, it's
the Concorde of Rodeo Dr!
Ferrari 348 Comparison: 1:18 HWE vs Real Car | sind3ntoyscar
This video shows that the HWE tire is too thick, but the rim seems the same size with real car. And it's production model pic, not sample pic... and it's the same tire ...

Follow me on Facebook and Instagram! Facebook.com/JTPhotos / Instagram @speedracer38 Yesterday while at work I heard sirens going off then saw traffic ...
notice both the doors open and the people stopped by the guard rail?
they're just waiting for the police to come close off the road and clear
away the car.
