You know, its always gratifying when the automatic break did perfectly working at the run-out groove!! I love the phone ring bell at the begining and all the others effects are priceless! Also the Strack's vocal still always a very funy moment, he has the perfect voice for all of these Reser's recording, Even if D.Robertson was formidablly childish freshly, even pure(To sing "The Dusky Stevedore" he can be...) but T.Strack has the voice from a "Young woman lover permanently loosed"... Thanks!!

Great rendition of this hot & zaniest tune by Harry Reser's 6 Jumping Jacks with Tom Stacks's singing. I do recognize that Spike Jones sound. And of course, Larry Abbott & Tommy Gott are present. All those 6 Jumping Jacks recordings from 1926 to late 1929 are the best, incluiding those that has Earl Olive & Sammy Lewis. Thanks!

You're welcome! I felt kind of like a dunce yesterday on my first video because just a split second after the needle ran down in the lead-out area the automatic turn-off worked, but I didn't get it on the recording!

What a simply marvelous riot! I've never heard anything by this Reser group that was dull. Great Post! ***** I also love the reflection of the tone arm on the record. Pretty.

You're welcome! You're exactly right about that period--it really reflects the best era of the 20's, an already wonderful time!

Thanks! I don't believe Reser knew the word "Dull"! That's right about the reflection, it just has its own little rhythm, too!

Thanks! Well sometimes the elections are very wacky, too! You can easily tell where the Spike Jones influences came from!

Well I think Fred Hall and his various groups was a very close approximation! Thanks!

Not sure which I like better - that hot record or your great-sounding machine!
https://gp5.googleusercontent.com/-DdHjOCiGbvI/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/RD4vuWO7bBw/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
Well you're allowed to be indecisive and like both simultaneously! Thanks!

On the contrary, the orchestra did indeed choose to run with this song!

There should have been more groups like this. The music is so much fun!

personally for me I consider all republican president's between 1861-1933 (that even includes Calvin Coolidge) to be progressives because the Republican party of the day tended to be more liberal while the democratic party tended to be more conservative.
