+Kevin Gunawan Thanks for your comment! I used GoPro HERO3 Black and since I know some key folks from GoPro, they let me have the better version, HERO4 . Much better low light processor.
Mazda Cx-5 GT 2016 - Awd diagonal test Offroad style test for the new Mazda Cx-3! This is juste a samll preview, the complete review will be publish soon!
Dear friend! Thank you very much for the nice video! With pleasure I
revised on all models.
I have a question for the CX-5. I have a Mazda CX-5 2.5 AWD. Diagonal test
reverse mode ("R") does not pass. When driving back diagonal passes the
test. The different modes: enabled TSC, TSC off.
You tested the reverse? Perhaps there is a secret, a feature?
Moving forward you recommend to leave the TSC mode OFF?
+Go.ALEXPRO right now we have not thinking about doing them in reverse... cause usually when you go in a ditch you try to do it while going foward. we will try that off cam and see if there is a change and if we need to add it to our test.
Two months ago I bought the 2.5 AWD 2016 model, in RED!, and it's smooth and quick, beautiful inside and outside i´m happy. I do not recommend it because i want to be the only.
Can we have a part of your reviews that test awd? I would like you to test
murano rogue and Honda CR-V so I can be informed on what awd works best. I
don't want to see another car review I want durability tests with awd
systems to see who is legit!
Sorry mate, I've compared it and have driven all the competitors and to be
honest with you and I hate to say this but the new Hyundai Tucson
highlander has gotten the Mazda CX-5 beaten in so many ways. Mazda CX-5 is
still a good compact SUV, but the new Hyundai Tucson highlander is the
compact SUV to beat.
+Robert LeBlanc haha, someone's gone off topic now. From where I'm sitting you just got schooled. Please stop wasting my time now, my dog would probably understand me more then you do, haha. Brand nationality <----hahahahaha!!
+Robert LeBlanc haha, it's like I'm to talking to a 10year old kid here, LoL. Brand snobs has got nothing to do with the price, lol. It's the Brand name, like for example "I would never buy a Kia because of the brand full stop, I don't care if that Kia cost $90,000, Im not going to buy it because of the brand name!!" Get it now little boy or should I say brand snob, haha.
+Aki Padre Not only are all Hyundais from 2007 part of their current company structure, the 2011 Elantra is still the same car as the 2015 model. You really are a special kind of imbecile aren't you? Also, brand snobs are those who prefer a higher priced brand for little reason other than that they're higher in price. Hyundai, Mazda, Kia, Honda, and Subaru are all in the same price class and are all direct competitors. What you're actually trying to accuse me of is brand nationality. You must've ridden the short bus to school.
+Robert LeBlanc recently in 2011?? Haha!! Recently, 4 years ago, LoL!! Dude when you test drive the new 2015, yes 2015 Hyundai Tucson, then you can reply back. So for now, zip it, haha!! Brand Snob, LoL.
+Aki Padre Lol. So someone who prefers the proven higher quality and reliability of some Japanese cars over Korean cars are brand snobs? You're hilarious dude!I gave Hyundai a try recently with a 2011 Elantra Limited... Complete crap. And FYI: I was born in Seoul. ;)
+Robert LeBlanc haha, that just proves my point, Mazda CX-5, jap car, Subaru jap car?? Brand snob, haha!! Just for the record my first car was a Mazda, second car was a Toyota and my third car was a Subaru and guess what the Hyundai tops them. Maybe before I wouldn't by a Hyundai, but the games has change mate. Brand snob!!
This is an accurate review, everyone, just remember, he's reviewing an
engine with 185 torque, but he mentioned a $22k base price that doesn't
have 185 torque, but 150. Be forewarned, he's testing a $25k base price
model.
Hi!.. thanks for doing all the videos.... i have a question.... do un know
if I can install the parking sensor available in GT version.. in my CX5 R
Version???
+CarLadyLisa in Chile, in the technical specifications, appear: (in spanish) "Sensores de estacionamiento delanteros y traseros con botón de desactivación", that means "Parking sensors front and rear with activation button"... could be some kind of noise that car makes when you are parking, in front and rear... .the new mazda cx-5 hasn't arrived yet to Chile, so i'm guessing... but, the specifications don't lie :)
+JuanPablo Jiménez De La Fuente Parking Sensors? We do not have them in Canada unless you are referring to a different feature. Can you explain a little more please?
I'm pretty proud of myself, that I new, than in white pearl it will look
gorgeous and super sporty. And the dimmed lights... Mmmm... I never liked
black rims and even wanted to switch to previous silver ones when I'll be
receiving my new Mazda, but as I look at the movie above I find the new
wheels as pretty awesome. Cool. Can't wait for my white pearl/true white
2016 CX-5 2.5. yaaayyy! :)
+Kory Lasker Ah I see now. I believe our Aluminum Metallic here in Canada is called Liquid Silver in the US hence my confusion as well. I believe the Sonic Silver is slightly brighter. I inadvertently saw it on a Mazda6 at the autoshow without realizing it. When one arrives, I'll do a video to show it off.
+CarLadyLisa I was confused. I meant Sonic Silver which sounds like it's new for 2016. I wanted to know the difference between that and Liquid Silver for the CX-5.
Not really sure....haven't heard or saw those colours. We currently have Aluminium Metallic which is replaced by the Sonic Silver. It sound familiar though, which car was it available on....
You are awesome! One question for you; I think it looks great. I love the
White Pearl in fact my 2014 Touring is the same color with black cloth.
BUT, I'm not sold on the GT Wheels. You've seen them in person (with the
white?). Honestly, what do you think. I'd be completely sold if the
previous 19" alloys were available. Afraid it takes away rather than adding
to the lines of the vehicle. And don't get me started on no more sand
leather!!!!!!! Your thoughts and thanks again!
This is a new world. You can have whatever you want if you are willing to pay for it. You can order a set and get em switched if you are particular about it. These new wheels to me... say I'm cool, sporty & classy. The previous ones say I'm classy & cool because I drive a CX-5 and that's what all the cool kids are doing.
This is a very small interior cleanup. Feel free to let me know any tips you have about cleaning interior parts. https://www.facebook.com/Lasthumansvideos.
I appreciate these videos. I am about to buy the 2015 cx5 GT as my first
new car. I am recently widowed and need a bigger car for me and my two year
old and, hec, I just need to spoil myself. Never had leather seats before
so I needed to learn how to keep em clean!
You got it easy living in the west coast. I live in Chicago and every year
after winter I take my GTI to get it professionally detail from the inside
and out.
Dood.. what perfect timing... my wife is next to me RIGHT now discussing how much we both hate the CX5. The heated seats suck, the "premium" stereo sucks, and its just so slow. We are on board to get rid of it asap. We traded cars today. Almost everything was better on the GTI compared to the CX5. My wife loved driving my GTI today, but I don't think I'd give it to her.
I am surprised you don't you a leather conditioner on the steering wheel.
I use "Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner" on mine
and I can really tell the difference. It removes the same grease, dirt,
and built up skin cells on the steering wheel, but it also helps to
moisturize the leather as well. I can always tell when my steering wheel
needs to be cleaned because the leather starts to look kind of dull.
+VWGTIThat is fine. Not the best in terms of efficiency or driving dynamics, but perfectly understandable. I just figured I would let you know that there were other options in case you were not aware.
+LastHumansGarage I have to say, I really like the fact that your display showed the pressure for each tire. I have only had a tire report low once with my Golf, but I hate having to go around to each of the tires to check the pressure. (Thankfully I have a pretty decent little portable compressor that makes that job easier.) Companies do that because the TPMS systems are required by law, but I always appreciate it when they go out of their way to actually make them useful.I do get the appeal of the Charger to some degree: it is a big powerful and fairly comfortable GT car basically. The thing for me is that I just don't have any attachment to American cars or V8s; so to me cars like the Charger just seem too big and too powerful to really enjoy them (as you kind of said in that second video), and in general they seem somewhat unrefined compared to some European cars. (Of course they cost a hell of a lot less as well.)I am curious though: what is all that rattling in that second video? Is it the car, or the the camera mount? That would drive my nuts.Overall though my preferences I suppose are more for momentum vehicles than muscle cars really. My first car was a 1986 Honda Civic (with a whopping 76 HP) but it had a pretty slick 5 speed manual, and when I was in high school, much like you with the Charger, all of my friends would pile into my vehicle after school and despite it being kind of a dorky vehicle: I loved that thing. My second vehicle was a 1999 Civic Si (only car I have ever purchased new). While 160HP does not seem like a lot in today's terms, with 0-60 times around the same as a stock GTI, that 7000 RPM redline, and its relatively light body: that was an amazing vehicle. It was the only Si to have Honda's wonderful double wishbone suspension and the coupe layout, and I hate that I wrecked it; as I feel like that will be a collectors car one day.But I hate the newer Hondas. They are too large, too heavy, the dashes are too big and too high, and they just lost some of that cheap cheerfulness that you got in the older models; so that is why I switched to a VW. I will say that video does make me want to get a go pro or something and try recording me taking a run on one of my local roads. Thing is I would only do it at night most likely; so I am not sure how well that would come out on camera.
+VWGTIIf I might make a suggestion: take a look at some of the used Audi's (specifically all road and/or TDI versions). The newer ones are fairly reliable, they cost about the same same as an SUV on the used market (obviously that statement is dependent on what SUV we are talking about here), they basically handle like a VW, and you can get them with all wheel drive.I mean hell, VW is actually bringing an Alltrack version of the Golf (Jetta) Sportwagen here to the US (possibly with a TDI option), and as you would guess it is basically an all wheel drive Golf with the longer Sportwagen body; so no reason to go to an SUV or abandon the Golf platform if you don't want to. //www.autoblog.com/2014/11/21/vw-golf-alltrack-us-sales-confirmed/
+LastHumansGarage The only reasons I would like to sell my GTI is that I live in Chicago and it would be easier in the winter time with an SUV or a car with 4*4. Also I`d like a little bit more space and a car that doesn`t need 93 octane gas, a non-turbo charge auto. If I could afford 2 cars I would keep my GTI and have another one for the winter but I can`t and so I`m gonna try and sell it and payoff the loan and try and get a SUV with 4*4 that doesn`t need 93 octane gas.
+Andrew Price I tell my Charger history starting at 2:20 in this video here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itA0R23CQL8 and this video really makes me long for a Bee again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2zQP0xAfiE
+LastHumansGarageI will say that I understand the appeal of bikes a great deal more. For starters the performance you get out of them for the money is just incredible, and I can certainly appreciate that they provide a totally different driving experience from what you get in a car. That said, I know if you own a bike you have to be ready to lay one down at some point, and given how my knees are right now... the prospect of screwing them up further is probably the main factor that keeps me from ever owning one personally.
+LastHumansGarageYeah trucks, off-road vehicles, and the like are just not something I get personally. Not that there is anything intrinsically wrong with them, but for me I don't like the more upright seating position, the ride, and especially handling. To me I see vehicles like the Wrangler as a complete waste personally. They are not very good on the road, most people buy them just because of the image that they project, and in general they seem extremely antiquated and archaic. Then again: I have never really driven one (maybe I have ridden in one before, but if I did it was a long time ago): so it is probably unfair for me to judge them based only on third party experiences and my perception of how they drive.Given that I am 6'6" and am built like a linebacker most people would assume that the extra space would have some appeal to me just due to my size, but my knees can be temperamental sometimes and I have found that more vertical posture tends to result in more pressure being placed on them over longer drives; especially compared to the more reclined driving position you get in a sportier car. (It does not help that I tend to be cheap and somewhat environmentally conscious: so fuel efficiency is something I tend to weigh very heavily when it comes to vehicle purchases as well.)If I were to buy a vehicle with that kind of focus: a more rally oriented car would probably be my first choice; as flying around on dirt roads sounds like it could be kind of fun.
I suppose to each their own. I would just think that a convertible would be a better solution to getting that than a Wrangler. Obviously a car is going to handle much better, but that is what you give up for that off-road capability.
+Andrew Price I have had about 10 motorcycles/scooters and 5 Wranglers. The hippie/free spirit in me loves the open air feeling. And I don't offroad. I love cruising lifted Wranglers around town.
+LastHumansGarageI don't really know you, but cars for you seem to be a hobby, and I think you just get bored with vehicles after a while; especially with the GTI since you already have fairly set ideas about what makes the perfect vehicle for you. I just think if you had those three vehicles, once you got everything on them the way you like them, you would be sitting around going, "okay, so what do I do now?"I gotta say: I am really surprised by the whole wrangler thing with you. See I would see you being a motorcycle guy over a wrangler guy, but as I said before: I don't really know you. That said, I suppose in that context you would be using a wrangler for its intended purpose rather than trying to use it as a daily driver; a task to which it is very poorly suited, and is the source for my primary complaints about that vehicle. (That and I don't believe in rewarding bad automakers; of which I certainly consider Chrysler-Fiat.)
+Andrew Price The perfect trifecta if I had money would be the GTI, the Superbee, and the Wrangler. I liked the Superbee for everything except around town shopping errands.
+VWGTIWhen it comes to cars I think he just gets a bit fickle when it comes to a vehicle, and at some point he decides he wants something new. He really likes American V8s to some degree, to get a GTI to perform the way he wants he has to modify the things to a degree to which they are not really designed, and because he is so perfectionistic I think over time, having to live with a car day in and day out, he just picks them apart. I do the same thing to some degree, but I am too cheap too trade vehicles like that. I think it is just a case where the GTI has had its run, and he is just ready for a new vehicle. That is not to say that it is a bad car necessarily (although the quality issues don't help), but you know sometimes you just want a change. (I don't mean to put words in your mouth LHG, but that is just the feeling I get anyways based on what you have said in your videos.)
+LastHumansGarageNope both the material on the wheel and the shift knob are real; at least according to the original sales brochure. In fact, I really love my wheel; as it reminds me of the one in my 99 Civic Si (that was such a good car). Now I will say that the one in my girlfriend's Forester is supposed to be real leather as well, but man that thing just feels cheap when it is cold. I suppose it is something about the grain or something. That said, the knobs (and this is not a euphemism I swear) for her climate controls feel so much better than the ones VW puts in the Golf. They have a nicely weighted resistance to them, and just feel much more upscale in comparison.Steering wheels though for me are one area where I try to really take care of; as it is a control surface that you touch all the time. That said, I can understand not wanting to use 15 different cleaning products.//www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Volkswagen/Golf/VW_US%20Golf_GTI_2013.pdf
im too lazy to use specialized creams. i bet the GTI steering wheel is fake leather anyway.
2016 Mazda CX-5 GT AWD 2.5L 0-60+
Just a quick little acceleration run with the Mazda. Doesn't have the thrust of my tuned 2011 F-150 5.0 of course, but for a little naturally aspirated 4 banger it is ...
The way people were talking about the engine I thought it would take
forever to reach 60. Thanks for showing me that its not that bad,
considering grabbing a 2016 GT.
