Los Angeles Air Force Base El Segundo, California 6/17/2014 Base went into lockdown when a suspicious male with a backpack, wires hanging out, also ...
A man with a backpack! Oh no! I think him with many of his co conspiritors
walking into el camino college this morning.
Maybe the entire country needs to be locked down. We need stricter backpack
control.
When I raise my hand, everybody say, "not one more!"
What the heck was going on here phil?
This is a guess video from Brian over at Survival On Purpose! In this video Brian shows us several really great fire building tips and techniques! Check out his ...
Great video. I saw you put fire next to big tree. Can you tell me what to
do in order to control that fire from spreading? Is it good to dig up a
little hole, cause my bushcraft buddy recommends, or just to place the fire
on earth cleaned from any wood and control it that way?
I scrolled down at 6:12 to like the video and then heard the following
sound of the speedup and thought that a crazy squirrel ran by or something
in that style :).
Anyways, stumbled upon this video and have now subscribed to two new
amazing channels, very entertaining video, good job!
Fourth Most Overlooked Item In A Bug Out Bag! Alkaline Battery Re-Charger!
I had no idea that Alkaline Batteries could be re-charged, in fact I was always told that you could not re-charge Alkaline batteries. But with this cool new ...
nice video JJ. if you can memorize this formula, a lot of useful
calculations are easy to do without a reference book: watts = volts x amps.
think of volts as the amount of force you can muster in one moment in time.
amps is rate at which you can supply that force over time. and watts is
then the total amount of power you can consume from that power source. you
often hear watts expressed with a unit of time, like a kilowatt hour. but
it can also be a measure stated without a time unit. that context is
telling you what a device needs to keep running. a measure of how much
force at what rate of continuous flow. when you hook up more than one
battery end to end, thats going in series. put your meter on volts and test
one end of the first battery and the other end of the last battery. that
will show the individual volts of the batteries added together. two fresh
aa batteries will give you over 3.4 volts. add a third battery in series
and youll get over 5.1 etc. wire the batteries in parallel and you get the
original voltage 1.6 or 1.7 etc., but they will provide that power for
twice as long as a single battery could.
Ok cool vid, will check out the charger, but what about the solar panel?
Where did it come from? My plan includes having a power converter you can
hook up to a car battery, but I want a solar panel option too. Redundancy,
you know?
i was looking for a solar charger to charge the Thrunite USB flashlight
which im still undecided if i want to get it or not.I cant wait to see your
review of the solar panel charger you have .I do have another one in mind
but id like to see your review first. Thanks
Sounds good! I will try to get it out as soon as I can. I can tell you I do like it a lot and it seems very good and functional and well built. I especially like that it folds flat. Check Sunjack.com for more info in the mean time.
Here's a good product to add to your kits. I've got a small solar panel and
battery already, but I wanted to get this kit for an extra battery and all
the extra plug attachments. Definitely a good idea to have the capability
to charge batteries and have power for other devices.

I've had chargers that can charge alkalines. The batteries leaked,
frequently. Use proper rechargeables like eneloops. They can be recharged
many times and keep their charge over time.
Thanks John! I think it is a nice lil setup as well!
Survival Myth # 3
This talks about a popular survival myth and that myth is that a Geiger Counter is the most important piece of Survival Gear as far as Nuclear and Radiological ...
Hmm. I was not aware of this myth, JJ. Another myth I have heard, in
relation to the topic, is about potassium iodide. Some think it will
prevent or cure radiation poisoning, when all it will do is protect against
thyroid cancer.
+Reality Survival You're welcome, and thanks back :) . People stocking this stuff need to know that if you are exposed to massive amounts of radiation, you're still going to die. You're just not going to die of thyroid cancer. It doesn't mean don't buy, stock, or use it, but let's have realistic expectations.
Great guest growing up under pres regan leadership I can still remember
duct n cover in basement of our school where bomb shelter stickers lead the
way. Great info
Great video, It makes me very happy to see someone educating the public on
the proper methods involving this subject. Thanks and I will be following
this series closely. I hope you don't mind if i post some of these on my
survival site. If its a problem send me an email via my google profile.
Thank you for sharing this :)
