The brz is so slow... Subaru needs to get at least 300hp in the BRZ!!
I had a 2012 camaro ss with 436hp, and raced a guy with a supercharged BRZ
with 310hp, he still lost but was pretty close. 310hp in a BRZ would beat a
V6 camaro easy.
Supercharged BRZ vs Camaro SS
Brz - Jackson Racing superchager with high boost pulley (10lbs) vs Camaro SS with intake, tune, exhaust 30mph Roll.
After finding out more on that camaro, it was a ZL1 engine without the
supercharger. Had a cam and I think head on there too. The BRZ held up
pretty good!
+Frank Ionni I agree. But auto is actually faster than the manual if you start putting more money into it for forced induction. So don't feel too bad about the L99.
+Anson L yea unfortunately I get gipped with the l99, but it's more convenient for me having to deal with traffic. but yea I don't plan on going too crazy with mods, that car in stock form is already plenty to get yourself into trouble.
+Frank Ionni That sounds about right for the L99 in your car. The manual SS has the LS3 so those numbers that I said above is for the LS3. I used to own a 2011 SS in manual.
+Anson L yea probably, I have a 2011 SS auto. but it's all stock right now. I was told that putting the headers with a tune would get me a good 30-40hp. so that would put me right around the 370whp mark.
dude the "zl1 engine" is just the 6.2l found in the SS. it's the same engine. the ZL1 package adds the supercharger, making 580hp to the crank. the SS makes 426 on the manual and 400 on the auto.
+AZBRZ520 This is a buddy of mines car that we put together. Not sure on the hp numbers as it is the smaller c30 head unit and haven't been on the dyno yet. I'm thinking he should be around 320ishwhp. This is on e85 as well.
Right?! I feel everyone is getting ss or 5.0 stangs despite the douche bag reputation that comes with them. I was tempted to go with a try hard muscle car but my conscience said nooo!!
