Thank you for this tutorial. It was very helpful to me. I think this helps

Heiko's World of Permaculture Plants: Hazelnuts, Chestnuts and Walnuts
Heiko Koester is an articulate and very experienced Permaculture designer, gardener, and teacher in Eugene, OR. In this video he speaks about specific nut ...
I still remember the day - cycling to work in Wilsonville - and the
bastards knocked an entire orchard of hazel nut trees over with a bull
dozer - looked like a tornado had hit. Two months later it was an apartment
complex. One of those life changing events where I totally lost faith in

specimens in the Willamette Valley, one in Albany that's 2-3 times the
diameter of the one in the video. The American Chestnut blight spared some.
That Chestnut tree is insane, I've never seen one that large. Any idea
which variety it is, Chinese? Great video, I'm planting my own 3-acre
forest garden now, with a few dozen nut trees of all varieties. :)
hazel or filberts are harvested in October in the Willamette Valley, early
in the season??
