Now we don't miss cubo at all....fuck him....he got plenty of
chances.....don't score in chivas? Guess what we always got someone ready
to replace you from the lower division teams...that's what's so great about
chivas....Giovanni casillas got his place now....don't hack in chivas get
sent to garbage ass MLS....simple as that.
I'm sorry I don't see Alan Gordan working out well in USMNT. I think he
should've kept Jack McInierny on board and left Gordan at home. Simon's
annoying as always.

USMNT Roster prediction, Cheaters & Rivalries - The Daily 3/18
Recapping Rivalry Week's action including Dominic Kinnear's "Cheater" claim, goal line technology, and Portland's point in Seattle. Hosted by Simon Borg and ...
Diving is part of the game. It's frequently done around the world. It's
unfortunate when it happens to you but it's ok when you do it type of
thing. MLS refs just need to be upgraded. I saw Chivas match and man was it
one sided. Franklin kicked a guy in the FACE, no card just a foul. Then an
LA guy slid on a Chivas striker from behind with no intention of getting
the ball, only a yellow card. The ref let this game get out of control and
evidently favored LA. MLS refs still have a long way to go.
There is most certainly an issue with diving in countries like Italy and
some specific English players. Diving ruins the competitive nature of the
sport, trying to rely on gaming the rules to fit your system rather than
play how physical it actually is. The MLS has no problem with diving,
because our league is so physical. Half of the challenges in our league are
stronger than any you'd see anywhere in Europe besides Germany, and I love
that our players can stay up and playing.
Diving is not an issue! It is not an issue in soccer at all. Only certain
countries complain about diving in soccer. Most places in the world have a
sports culture that believes players should do WHATEVER it takes to win!
For the most part only here in North America do we carry on about
"classiness." Not sayin one view is better than the other. Just different.
It's up to the ref to make the right call.
morrow has the speed and athleticism, but he's just not a very smart
player. he makes a lot of stupid plays. dunivant isn't as good an athlete,
but he's lightyears ahead in his game decisions. he's also a better passer
because of it. if i were coach i would choose the smarter player over the
dumb jock.
We can change the fake injuries, and the solution is rather simple. The ref
should institute a 10 count like in boxing. If the player can't stand up
after the count he should be removed from the field to be evaluated. Once
the player is removed from the field he must stay out for 5 minutes.
"Is diving an issue in MLS?" For fk sakes, diving is an issue everywhere in
the world. But it's part of football/soccer. That's why instant replay
doesn't exist in this sport. Faking injuries and fouls, is actually part of
the game. We can't change that.
I hate diving. I am a Sounders fan and everytime I see EJ go down easy I
get frustrated because I would much rather see him try to shrug off a
tackle instead of looking for a free kick. Diving makes soccer less
interesting to watch and less entertaining.
And that is ignoring the completely incorrect red card he gave out too. To
be fair, this ref was Salazar. Ask any Seattle fans about him, he is
notorious for screwing us over. Worst ref in the league, possibly in
CONCACAF or maybe even the world IMO
He or Cahill had no reaction whatsoever to indicate it went in. He didn't
even look at the ref, or have any hint of a celebration. He has nothing to
lose by doing it, and its something you expect from the person on the goal
line.
I agree with Simon about Todd Dunivant, wish they would have called him up.
I also don't believe MLS has a diving trouble. You don't see it as much as
you do in some of the European leagues.
ANYTHING THAT ENDS IN A TIE IS BORING! Jesus man, the games were incredible
to watch. NY - DC was a great tie, as was Seattle - Portland and a few
others. I believe that you are delusional
The only reason that diving has become part of the game is because people
have allowed it to become part of the game. It's just been accepted, and
that's the problem.
Justin Morrow has the speed, athleticism and tackling ability out of any
other left back mentioned. Klinsmann would select him as the most viable
option.
Rivalry week was horrible, that's all I have to say. The best games were
the Toronto and Montreal and the Houston and Dallas one. The rest were
boring.
