+Mad Max I love how all of the Spainish colonies are some large nations yet still some of the poorest lol. And yet British colonies such as Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are thriving new economic superpowers.
And if they succeeded English wouldn't exist today BAHAHAHA
The Spanish Armada (In Lego!)
Join the Legomen as they educate the world on the Spanish Armada! This film was made in less than 12 days for a school project. I made this as an extra credit ...
Excellent video which was very well put together but severin51 is right,
Philip was not married to Mary I, Queen of Scots, (Mary Stuart) but her
namesake Mary I, Queen of England (or Mary Tudor/Bloody Mary) However,
Philip was more than a little annoyed when a Catholic Monarch was executed
by a Protestant one.
Cool video!! Although King Phillip's response to the destruction of the
Armada was in full~" I sent my ships to fight against men and not against
the winds and waves of GOD!"
Is that guard drinking a cup of tea at 0:12..?? Love the way he gets
knocked out of the way :) Great animation. A job well done and a bit of
history thrown in too. Brilliant.
Video from Pirates of the Burning Sea featuring some impressions from the Spanish Fleet Port Battles and ship sailing. And some propaganda for the spanish ...
@ejcs45 it used to be mightier before England wooped their ass and this is
how it went 1. Spanish launches ARMADA against Brit which were HUGE WAR
SHIPS 2. They reach England and unexpected thing happens which was that
back then ship fighting style would be that they would face next to each
other and shoot cannons but England created new tactic by making small
ships that were faster and shoot them ran away turned around and shoot them
AND they ramed into Spanish ships 3. Spain ran and storm hit
potco is an unrealistic shitgame without any references to the real world
their galleon is 50 feet wide. and their frigate has a gigantic... i dont
know what it is sticking out of the front not to mention the fact that
there is voodoo and that the cannons hold 3 balls. There is also only 3
types of ship with a light variant a medium variant and a war variant.
There is absolutely no realism in land battles(no blood no anything just a
light). And dont get me started about the size of "towns".
It's just what i've read and heard about. Both on history programms on TV
and in some history books states that the spanish ships were only equipped
with lighter cannons with poor range and that the british ships though
fewer in numbers had more powerful guns and far more robust hulls than the
spanish ships. The only real strength the armada had over the british was
its size and that was sufficient no doubt. The spanish warships were just
transport ships with guns.
I really miss the possibility of being part of the Dutch nation in the
game, They had quite a big fleet, capable of fighting on par and even
winning against the brits, which is quite an accomplishment considering the
size of Holland. Plus, they won their own land against the spanish
(1568-1648) partly because of their fleet. Ofcourse the dutch are part of
the game, just a shame you can't join it as a faction.
@magicmomentsgo "hey am scottish a hate the queen and if a lived in those
days a rather would have been fighting for the spannish or the french navy
rather than the english" Ah, but King Jim wouldn't have let you. In 1586
good Queen Bess bought him for £4000 a year and he agreed to support
England in the event of a war with Spain. If there is one thing a sweatie
can't resist it is an English pound.
Wow..alot of ppl think that spain was not that good but reading history
spain was the best country at tht time ..i should say that alot of
northamericans i mean usa ppl dont even know wheres spain they think all
ppl tht speaks spanish its mexican tht make me Laugh ^^ been a mexican i
should say i am very PROUD¡¡ that mexico forms part of the history of spain
..Viva Españaa¡¡¡.
@SuperJogvan what? Spain's armies were inferior in number to the enemy in
almost every battle. The old-thirds were feared throughout Europe your
beloved English always avoided ground combat against Spain, that sound the
battle of Cartagena de Indias? 3000 Spanish soldiers defeated 24,000
British soldiers and sank much of its fleet. anyway ... is what you speak
without knowing.
@KOOSHTYBOH In the land, the spanish tercios (army) were invencible in
those days. No doubt if the armada arrive to Flandes (Holland) and take the
spanish army(10.000 men) to England, another history would be tell....(sorry
for mi english). The storm saved your island,(no doubt you're very brave
people, but the storm did the work, even the english historians say that...)
The spanish ships were not design to be warships. They had weaker guns and
thinner hulls. The british ships could wreak havoc on the spanish ships
without enter their cannons reach. And spain was a dying superpower during
the end of the 16th century but still dangerous. The spanish armada was
their last chance to regain their status in the world and they failed.
@Kosty19 Kosty this has got to be one the best mmorpg games out there.
Because what other game that is set in this time period can you actually
sail ships in like this? Also did you hear that in 1.26 they are removing
the 1st and 2nd rates? They claim there to overpowered. Simple fix reduce
firepower by 30 or 40% and reduce there range.
@oxodize cant handle the calliber???? and its true, cmon you ppl think you
dont need no 1 but you actually do, imagine your selfves out of the EU, you
ppl would be fucked but you cant see it, and what you said there, that
didnt touch my heart by miles kkkk, and here i was thinking the americams
were bad, compared to you they are saints

u guys so stupid.
@ejcs45 True but in the 18th Century England was mightier because remember
the French and Indian War England fought against both France and Spain and
won. And also that England during the Napoleonic era saved Spain by
invading there southern tip and freeing Spain from Napoleon.
although brit i have to admit the spanish could have suceeded if there was
no storm but the british ALSO hade fire boats the spanish didnt witch sunk
around 15 spanish but in the 1700s the british navy=Un-beatebl the british
navy was the storngest from 1700s-1945
@magicmomentsgo and @ejcs45 Actually it was the skill of drake and the
Fucked up admiral of spain Britain has the mightyest navy and no power on
earth can match the might of the British navy and stop being a scottish
twat and learn to love Great Britain!
that´s not what i heard, but it might me correct. But if i remember
correctly, the spanish tactics within the spanish armada was to board the
english ships as much as possible. So if they had stronger guns why is it
that they favored boarding so much.
@RaIdeN55566 The reason it dominated Europe was due to it political and
religious standing. Spanish rulers were inheriting parts of Europe, with
the backing of the Church. Its military power of mainly that of quantity,
not quality
@dkrustyklown tHAT IS RIGHT. The spanish commander was Blas de Lezo
"half-man",We study this in Spain but those english dogs only study Spanish
armada in 1588 and Trafalgar. Spanish soldieres are the bravest
During Beta the Spanish most of the time had an alliance with France. We
did a lot of trade with french guilds and players. In the footage shown in
this video the Spanish fought against brits and pirates.
Yes! Once up on a time, we ruled the world and we were enemies of anybody
else. Our arrogance just can be compared with that the Northamericans show
today. There is nothing new under the Sun.
hey am scottish a hate the queen and if a lived in those days a rather
would have been fighting for the spannish or the french navy rather than
the english. so am with you on this.
Spanish military power has always been touch and go. Fair enough, they beat
a bunch of Peruvians with sharpened sticks, but they could not hold their
own against a European army.
and back in the day france wasent bad at war neither their ships were
bigger and harder to penetrate so ud have to get close and if u cud get
close u cud consider yourself lucky
i quit playing world of tanks cause i sold my pershing for a fucking t34
paper armor and weak gun and now im switching to this game try it then
delete it after i get bored
Travel Granada, Spain - Alhambra Palace in Granada
Take a tour of Alhambra Palace, Granada - part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats. Hi, I am Naomi and I am very excited to show you the ...
@ytword so who has done this sweet and unbelievable palace is a former
leader of andalusia (spain now) and his name is abdulrahman al awsat. The
person who showed the whole of europe the great , sweet looking and most
importantly , he changed andalusia from dark to light by 3 things : 1-
Coexistence ,2- education to learn or science , 3-secure and justice.
europe took this things and changed directly 360 from dark to light in life
when andalusia were taking over by the Crusades
@Ytword it isnt the arabs who was jealous on the amazigh , we were strongly
coexisting with them for many centuries, and since youre talking about the
arabs and their racism . There was other nationality of arabs that is a
racism national and sick people who live near to egybt
how is the everyday living stuff there, like price of food, clothes, etc.
Ancient Celts ~ 9th Legion
The battle scene is from the film, Centurion. Information: Legio IX Hispana (Ninth Spanish Legion) was a Roman legion, which operated from the first century ...
How many battles were there because of polytheist now how many have been
fought for monotheist? Until monotheist there were no regielest wars. Sorry
Engalist is not my tongue.
Earlier answers got this absolutely correct. The ninth were not destroyed
in what later became Scotland but were transferred to the Rhine where
subsequent relics had been discovered confirming their location. Despite
being a beautiful country Scotland did not offer the Romans any resources
they were desperate for so it made sense not to waste men and equipment
invading that territory. Despite popular myths the Romans and the northern
folk traded regularly and people moved pretty freely across Hadrian's wall
doing what comes naturally. Visiting relatives and trading. Wars only suit
religious/political leaders or the power hungry. Relations between the
"general public" were usually more settled than we are led to believe.
+Kohl423 The Romans build a 2nd wall deeper in Scotland even (although it wasn't actually manned for a long period of time), so that would indeed mean that they had contact with the people inside.
+Kohl423 Very well written, and revealing. And you are mostly right, yet Rome did conquer and hold on to the lower part of Scotland for close to two centuries. It was the more mountainous Highlands that they avoided, while eventually they did abandon the lower part, thus establishing and erecting Hadrian's Wall, which roughly corresponds with the modern day border between Scotland and England. Great stuff though (and hats off to you my man)!
Too bad out of tens and tens of legions, they only had one there. Noone
knows what really happened there and such typical hollywood crap movies do
not represent anything correctly. Romans looking good as always though, in
their formation walking through the woods.
+XIV GEMINA MARTIA VICTRIX Wasn't aware of this information. Thanks man. Indeed there's lots of propaganda and misinformation about Romans. The barbarians were/are jealous and had to distribute bullshit obviously.
+UniversEEEEE Legio IX Hispania wasn't massacre at all. He was transferred to Nijmegen in Germania Inferior (on the Lower Rhine), where it was in the 120s. One of the finds that prove this, is a metal object found in Ewijk, a bit west of Nijmegen, now in the Valkhof Museum. The fact that we know the names of several high officers of the Ninth who can not have served earlier than 122 (e.g., Lucius Aemilius Karus, governor of Arabia in 142/143), is another indication that the legion was not destroyed but transferred. https://rambambashi.wordpress.com/2009/04/25/common-errors-4-viiii-hispana/ The history of massacre is an english fairy tail, like Asterix.
