We all enter into the mystery of womanhood when we enter into the Church. The priest also stands in the persona of Christ. Ultimately the Mass is a marriage--and marriage, where a man and woman are joined together in fruitful union, is a symbol of the Trinity, himself. If a women could be a priest it would represent a narcissistic and barren union.

Of course, and it all depends on the priest, I m not going to risk myself going to church on Sunday for mass and end up laughing in church, altar girls, Eucharistic Minster, hand communion, joking in a church, clapping, dancing That's no solemnity and holy throughout the mass, just not long ago, I saw this altar girl during consecration, kneel on the kneeler her whole body was leaning on the place where we put our elbow and arm when we pray, she was literally sleeping on it and rang the bell during consecration, is so disrespectful. Stop all this nonsense , back in my country, it will never happened.

I was just defending the concept of liturgy as completely Biblical to someone just like that, and now I have to come here and respond to the same kind of "finger in the ear" denial of such obvious truth with you.Clearly, I never said it wasn't the same sacrifice. I took pains, in fact, in fact to explain that the actual problem is that you aren't actually participating in the offering of the sacrifice to God in the New Order Mass. The whole point of going to Mass is to participate. If you haven't participated then you haven't really been to Mass. You are breaking the third commandment but really you are denying the whole reality of the Church, herself. Because the Church is that body of the faithful who come together to worship God by offering sacrifice to out LordIf you take communion after doing this then by rights you are consuming your own condemnation--now just as with material heresy there are mitigating factors which lessen your guilt. God is so incredibly merciful that in reality you probably are still receiving some grace despite it all. Still even if this is the case, it is still nothing compared to the grace you would have otherwise received if you had participated in offering the Lamb of God to the Father. I notice you have no argument against this claim that you are not actually participating in the sacrifice at the New Order Mass, which is fine but then why respond at all? If you can't refute what I am saying and have to resort to refuting a straw man instead then why bother to have said anything at all if you really do, in fact, love truth? This isn't just a personal problem it is a Church wide problem that is causing tremendous harm to the body of Christ--again this can't be denied the statistics are clear. and as a consequence despite a population of 80,000,000 million self-professing Catholic there is no real push back from a faithful Catholic population against the evils of American society. We have many "Catholic" governors, a "Catholic" vice president and a "Catholic" speaker of the house and yet we have an utterly, utterly, utterly evil government. What are the sins that cry out to heaven for vengeance: murder (how many babies are aborted every year) sodomy, oppressing migrants/and the poor, and injustice to the wage earner--all of which are rampant in our society. The pro-life movement in America is being destroyed by ecumenicism. This year there wasn't one Catholic Bishop who spoke at the right to life march this year, instead you had pro-conception Protestant speakers. So even in the few places where a Catholic voice appeared to oppose our culture, Satan has worked through the Novus Order Church to start to destroy it from the inside. This voice will soon start to fall apart and be silenced. As these sins increase as a consequence how long do you think God will continue to ignore the cry's for justice? When the persecution comes, I sincerely believe Novus Ordo Catholics are going to fall away from the Church anyway just like leaves fall away from a tree in the dead of winter. In the end the Roman Mass will survive and the New Order mass will only be a historical curiosity. Still if this time of great testing can be avoided it would be great, and if you aren't hearing me on this it is only because like my Protestant friend your heart is closed.Be honest with me how much prayer fasting and almsgiving are really going on in your life?God be with you.

You may think it is okay to give God your second best, but the bible tells us differently. In any event an even bigger problem is with the rubrics of the New Order Mass. They make it virtually impossible to ever truly participate in the Mass as a sacrificial offering.But wait you say, "I feel like I can participate more in the New Order Mass then I can in the Roman Mass". No, you can't actually, even though you may believe you do. It is only because you don't really know what participation in the Mass actually means--or apparently feels like--that you may believe this. Think of it this way: Imagine going to a concert of your favorite singer. Imagine it is a big production with an elaborate choir of back up singers. Now imagine that you are in the front row singing your heart out. You know ever word to every song, and you sing every song along with the performers. At one point the singer leans over the crowd right in front of you and for a brief moment you are practically face to face singing together. Best concert, ever! You leave feeling on top of the world,, and even a few days later you still feel high from the experience. But guess what? You ain't getting a check. Nope, you don't get a check because you weren't actually one of the people presenting the concert like say the back up singers were--they might have even done far less singing than you. What you were was one of the people the concert was given for. The New Order Mass is just like this. It may make you feel good. It may be entertaining for you, and it may have kept you engaged the whole time. But this is not actually the same thing as participating in the Mass. The New Order Mass totally inverts the relationship between man and God.The New Order Mass doesn't care if God is the one looking on passively, bored and impatiently waiting for the thing to end just as long as it isn't you. The fact is, however, if you know what the Mass means and are ready to really participate you should never feel bored or passive. This was always a failure of catechizes in the first place, and the solution of institutionalizing a superficially more engaging, reader's digest version of the Mass was not actually a real solution for sanctifying the laity--as is clear to witness. Although this was only one of the reasons the Mass was changed. The other was to make it more familiar to Protestants. In the Roman Mass we are truly able to participate along with the priest in offering the Mass to God, and the Mass is centered around and directed towards God. Unlike in the New Order Mass where the "Mass" is centered around and directed towards the people.Clearly though like any sacrament it is not a magic charm as +William Winslow's behavior here demonstrates. People can still attend even the Roman Mass and fail to receive Christ. The devil is clever and always plays all the angles.

+Isabella A Rossellini Pax vobiscum. I always get the Latin-English missal but before I couldn't follow along because there are some things that are said out loud, while others aren't. I found that out myself. It also helps sitting in the front to hear what the priest/canon is saying. 

Aldric, there are Roman Missiles that are for the congregation to follow along with the what the priest is saying in the Latin Mass that help out a lot. Hopefully this might help you. God bless you.

We are called "Roman Catholic" (or "Latin Rite") for a reason. I really like the Latin high mass, but I wish I could follow along in Latin.

The mass does not change just because you put on certain vestments or speak latin over english. It's still the Holy mass even if it were said in a catacomb beneath a large city. You put to much importance on ascetics.

These include the Latin rite, which is the largest, and what most of us refer to generically as the "eastern rites". Another contribution of Pope Benedict was the welcoming of many former Anglicans around the world as Catholics who can retain their own traditions of worship in what we call the "Ordinariate". What is called, not entirely accurately, the "eastern rites" there are all the other ones, and these are often extremely ancient and are usually associated with a local church, many of whom are the native Christian peoples of the Near East, Chaldeans in Iraq and Syria, Maronites from Lebanon, etc. The issue is extremely interesting, since much of it is intimately bound up in some of the most momentous events in human history, and it is all well worth investigating, even without any particular religious purpose, but simply as a cultural study.
