Robert Osborne debates Drew Barrymore RE: The Wild Bunch on TCM
Turner Classic Movies showed the THE WILD BUNCH (1969) on October 7, 2012. Here is the introduction to that showing, in which TCM host Robert Osborne ...
...5/31/2014 watched "My Fair Lady" and I totally agree with Ms. Barrymore.
The exception to America's rule for women actors, like male actors from
Europium actors (M/F) is the substance of the screen play and not the
actor. I thought Ms. Barrymore was heading down a more direct path, but it
was clear to what was on her mind. And Mr. Osborne, I hadn't known you and
your co-hostess acting like father and daughter in your debates. It's
refreshing...
Whoa.... DB "hotter"? To each their own I suppose... No .... that's a
cop-out.
What's wrong with you man! She's no dog but I guarantee you she looks alot
different coming out of a pool or shower - wet head and no make-up. Only
the really beautiful (very very rare) and / very confident will dare do
that on camera. Anyways I looked up the word "cloying" and it matched the
cloying Miss Barrymore.
...I'd like to see on TCM, one with John Wayne 1952's-"Big Jim McLain". And
if this happens, play the trailer. Mr. '76' dances like a truck driver, and
he has that 'grin' on his puss, and he has the best knock outs you have
ever seen!...
...The two westerns of that era, Once Upon A Time In The West, and The Wild
Bunch. Robert Ryan, all in the motion picture are tops! (Strother Martin,
to me, took the day-The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. He was a REAL
psychopath)
Strange how the two Robert's, Robert Osborne and Robert Wagner, are looking
more and more like brothers!
