Volvo 280 dp parts Videos

+captainedc Tons of info on these boats at the Chris Craft Commander Forum. That's where I found my boat and all the great insights I needed to restore it. The Lancer hulls are 24 degree deadrise making them excellent big water boats but that's what Jim Wynne designed them to handle. BTW, Jim invented and sold the I/O design to Volvo that they took and refined into the units like the 280 Aquamatic, roundly considered to be a "bullet proof" unit. Mine is 90%+ original w a few external new OEM parts I was able to still order online that arrived boxed and packaged from Volvo. Amazing.

I will surely check them out. We had a 76 Donzi 18 classic with that same 280 Volvo out drive (62 mph) and now the Formula. I always thought these boats were a Ray Hunt design and of course Aronow. I didn't know that.I know very little about the Chris Crafts just remember it from my favorite movie Jaws.I'd love to know specs and more about them but I don't see much on the net so far.Thanks so much for the info....Captain Ed at the Jersey shore.
