+Sim Jang I can't tell if you're an idiot or just a troll. Laser resurfacing is common and the swelling goes down in a matter of days. The redness a bit longer but looks just like a sun burn.

Sooo my skin is REALLY sensitive. And I tried this a few nights ago, and it burned so bad I had to take it off after 2 or 3 minutes. Afterwards, my face felt raw and extremely painful. It was red all night and I was peeling in the morning. T-T Any idea for a solution I could use that would be easier on my skin?

Hi Dr. Paul. I have scars on my left knee for about 20 years. I got them when I was a kid playing around in rough areas.The scars I have stop me from wearing shorts for 20 years now. I am always so conscious about my knee and I hate that I can't wear any clothing that are above my knees. It really lower my self-teem and the way I think of myself. I always thought to get a tattoo in that knee,but I'm wondering also if I can have it tattoo just with the same skin tone I have. Can this be possible?

Hi Dr, I had a mole removed almost 5 months ago excision with stitches. Ever since I had this done the scar bothered me for awhile. I went to a couple of dermatologist and they all thought I didn't need laser surgery or anything to fix the scar to make it fade more. Although it has faded and got better, it still bothers me. Will it continue to get better? Is there something I should have done? I really just want to forget about it.

A few non-invasive things can be done to ensure the best appearance as a scar is healing. First of all, limiting sun exposure and protecting the scar with SPF 30 or greater sunblock is important to prevent discoloration of the scar. Second, applying silicone sheeting or silicone based scar gels such as Mederma and Biocorneum during scar maturation will help soften the appearance of the scar. It will continue to fade with time.

Not to worry, this type of laser will not cause cancer. In general, lasers used for cosmetic purposes will not cause any type of cancer. They are fantastic for helping reduce the appearance of scars. It is most noticeable when I smile (needless to say, I dont smile much anymore). I would be in your office in a heartbeat; unfortunately, I live on the east coast. This is amazing hats off to the Dr. I have a big scar between my eyebrows and my nose which is only covered by glasses. Its roughly 14 years old can scar revision surgery still give results. I am desperate to loose the sight of this scar as it is really noticeable and I don't mind flying across the pond to get rid of it. Anyone had similar procedures???

Dr. I have the same situation but my scar came from a fall from falling asleep standing up. I hit the corner of a wood book case. The emotional impact is a source of constant shame and embarrassment. The scar is now a line above my lip and is painful when I shave. Can you help me? Can this be fixed.

Exactly what I was thinking. Scars would be the least of my problems if someone locked me in that chamber for a sixty seconds, let alone an hour! And it looked like no one was in the room with her. Is there a panic button inside that thing? Yikes! (Scar did look a lot better after procedure)

i got kicked by horse many years ago and chunk of my lower lip came out and have scar underneath my lip. The tissue in lip grew back thicker and is bigger than other side of my lower lip. Is there a way to reduce the size or would i have to make the other side bigger to even it out?

Hi Dr.Paul, I had a thyroidectomy done twice in about a months time 7 yrs ago. I have a scar from one side of my neck to the other from the stitches, the scar is about 2 inches wide and 6 inches long can that be corrected with surgery?

This totally works. I do it all the time... But I don't use warm water... I just work with a 2 day old pimple and pop it then disinfect with witch hazel toner and then apply Aloe gel. And this totally doesn't leave a scar.
