Was the Jeep a newer version called the JK? Those like to ignite as
Chrysler redesigned the Wrangler into something that is a fire hazard. It's
a shame your vehicle was a victim of "progress". They changed a tried and
true simpler metal design(TJ) into a plastic firebox deathtrap(JK). I'd
hate to see any vehicle catch on fire, whether I dislike it or not, and be
ruined. I hope you got restitution for it and had Chrysler take note of
this tragedy. Take care TommyCurtis1967

Also, if I mistook your comment, and you meant the three people shown in
the video, and not younger homeless people in general, I'm guessing that
they are two different groups. It's pretty common to pool effort and
resources based on common circumstance, and is a routine procedure when on
the streets or on the road. If you look at how the pair of dogs interact
with one another, versus the man with the sign's, you'll see differences
that indicate that they aren't of the same social unit.
A dog is very useful to have by you when you are without a home, since it
provides protection in the case of being attacked, a better awareness of
surroundings than what a human is capable of (due to a more expanded
audible frequency range, if nothing else), and companionship in a time
where people will routinely refuse to associate with you or even
acknowledge your existence. Were I in his situation, I would sell my pocket
knife or shoes before I'd sell my dog.
sell your dog buddy. why do all of them have dogs anyways?
Route 66: Oatman, AZ to Kingman, AZ
This is a great ride, very scenic with lots of twisties. Actually wish I put my camera on before we got to Oatman, as it had more great Rt-66 stuff from right where ...
Thank you for this.
I moved to Kingman with my family at the age of 7 in 1985 and moved here to
Bismarck ND in 2010.
Never thought I would miss it but I do very much. I want to move back more
than anything but I have children with my ex-wife who I moved here with.
Won't be able to move back for at least 10 more years because my youngest
is 8 and I would not want to take my kids away from their mom.
Not going to lie, this video made me cry. I have driven this road hundreds
of times. From when I was a child with my parents till I was older cruising
with my first wife. I have driven this in a 68 dodge boom truck (was really
sketchy when I was the passenger because it is a heck of a drop if you go
off lol).
This is just beautiful country. About 18 miles from Kingman and Kingman
which is 30 miles from Laughlin and 100 miles from Las Vegas. You are close
to so many great areas from here.
I moved to kingman when I was 9 and I lived there four years. I took that road all the time. I love oatman. I live in Kentucky now. watching this video upsets me a little cause I miss it so much.
There is a pedal on the floor of the car. It's called a brake. It's hooked to something called a master cylinder. When the brake is applied, even slightly, the master cylinder applies fluid in a hydraulic fashion to all four wheels (or six, or eight, whatever the case may be), and forward momentum is slowed. This, in turn, would slow the vehicle's forward velocity and therefore the distracting vehicle would no longer be in the video. All this would take no more than 5, possibly 6 seconds. Forgive me for not making myself more coherent in my original post. And since you made a suggestion to me (that was very kind of you), allow me to reciprocate in like-fashion? Check out my YT channel. It may just change your life.
um, what do you propose he do with that annoying car? Blow it up? Run him off the road? It's not like there's anywhere to pass along there. I suggest you mellow out and go with the flow and just enjoy the ride lol
well, in 1992 I entered Rt66 near Oatman. It was the 66th Anniversary. It
was June 6, I was going 66mph at 6:06 AM with my 6 yr old son. And I was 42
yrs old. (4+2=6) I had a 1959 Corvette. It was one lonely drive. Didn't see
a soul. All the way to Seligman. It was Very green that year and Flies were
Everywhere. It can never happen again. So, I got my kicks
Vroooom. Someday I'll find the tape and put it on YT....(The Cat In The Hat used vrooom to clean up the mess....!). You'd think that 66 would have been busy on 6-6-'92. Nary a soul
+TheHypnotstCollector That's a cool story. Thanks for watching :)
