I love Cadillac's, but this car needs a different engine if it's supposed to be a flagship. Cadillac sorely needs their own line of premium engines to differentiate themselves from Chevy and Buick, let-alone compete with the Germans.

This isn't the Performance Version, so there's no need to put wide track tires for a Passenger car only model. Yes the car is longer, and it's for a practical reason that makes sense: the last gen didn't have rear seat space for passengers that are 5'10+ so they made the car longer to actually fit adults comfortably in the rear seats. And the Front is wider and bigger than the last gen for your info.

there is credible rumor out that an optional diesel engine, (actually 2-3 different displacement units with 4-6 cylinders) are in the pipeline for Cadillac, which would/could be introduced with the ATS first. looking at Cadillac and GM the cars they bring will always be continually enhanced once they are out in the market and receive additional options and configuration choices such as engines that further broaden the appeal. the ATS seems like an instant hit for Cadillac and i'm most impressed.

0-60 in 7.4 with 305 hp? Wow thats slow.. My 2013 dodge avenger hits 0-60 in 6.1. This Buick must be very heavy. I do like the looks and luxury of the Buicks but not for 40k. I walked out the door with my avenger (has all the options except for leather seats and touchscreen radio) for 20740$.
