so if the two wires got connected to the + what gets connected to the -?
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-6k7ZhqANpR8/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAKo/HrvH9zD_uBE/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Matt Johnson this is for 3 wires, one ground, one signal, and one positive

+Dan DiFiore ah this is for turn signals with 3 wires.. you would need to wire in an extra positive running light wire to do this

I've only got two wires for my turn signals that's why I ask.

Can't get it to work. Seems pretty clear. 2 diodes (using 3-amp, 50 volt rating) both with the white band side tied together facing the lights. Other websites I've looked have the same solution, but I can't get it to work: I get running lights but no turn signals. right side turn signals work good. All fuses are good. What am I doing wrong?

+C. Ivan Delgado your positive wire needs to stop sending powerr when you turn on your turn signals

PWAAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!! - Dude... I just full-on sprayed coffee out of every orifice on my face.. "4:15" "LED FLAME- SLUT" -OmfG... Ahhh... man , I needed that. Thank you. -Also, REALLY helpful vid!!! I have a 99 VFR800 I have been wanting to light up my entire tail assembly - The lens is all one piece, with respective sections colored red/yellow for the turn signals, brake light, etc.. but have found some very small, single red LED's (12v) that I can drill a very small hole for the wire and just mount the led in the housing. - I know this sounds like a handful, but thinking of re-fitting the entire wiring scheme and sockets... -This seems the more straight forward approach. -and their draw is absurdly small, like barely 2 watts and '0.3 amps or something... Only thing i keep running into online about LED's is something about using some kind of resistor load, otherwise - apparently on some bikes - probably the newer, computer controlled ones (???) have a tendency to tell the system the bulb is burned out (because their pull is so small it reads as an interrupted signal path. Makes sense... - But for heavens sake... - I JUST WANT SOME EXTRA LIGHT ON MY SCOOT, DAMMIT!!! Lol... Wondering if you ran into any issues with any of that, OR if it was pretty much 'Plug and play', Aside from the diodes for your specific application - Brilliant btw... :). Thanks a lot, Cheers!

Hey man, Thanks so much - Yeah, I Just found the Relay fix yesterday for the turn signals. - Way more into that than wiring in load resistors. . (I'm going out on a very short limb and say that for just plain old, add-on 12V LED's this is not necessary). - I want to rig up 4, CREE Bright white LED's for the rear with a Momentary, push-button flash to warn the f*** out of fast, rear-approaching cars/ trucks/ planes.. etc...  -Way too many times I have had to pull to the side of the car ahead of me.. - This time, they get blinded ..lol.  -damn texters... ;)Thanks so much for the link as well.Just covered my marker lights with tint film - a dark amber... Looks great against the Red.. - Woot! -Will keep you posted!Cheers!

+Jesse Vina hey! i really didnt mean to say that lol! if you want to put leds for turn signals you can do the resistor thing, what i did was use an led and a normal light bulb, so it was not under loaded, another thing you can do is upgrade your signal relay, just unplug the old one (which is usually under the seat on the side) and plug in a LED one, i found one for your 99 vrf800 on amazon for $2.21 and free shipping //www.amazon.com/CARCHET-Signal-Flasher-Motorcycle-Indicator/dp/B00CMO3V0Sbut if your just adding leds dont get that because it wont make a diffrence, thats only for if your replacing your old bulbs for leds. keep me updated!

I can't get it to work on my FZ-07. I have the sr560 diodes connected to each wire separately on one end then the other end together to the red wire of the signal. The white line on the diode is at the signal end. I connect the signal wire first and it blinks rapidly, as well as the rear signal blinking rapidly. When I connect the running light wire, the led becomes solid lit and the rear signal continues to blink rapidly. Any ideas?

+Darrell Temple I too have a FZ-07 and would like to convert my two wire into a day running light. Can you fill me in on how you got your's to work, TIA

I ordered the blinker genie. Hope it works.

+Darrell Temple ah you need that running wire to stop delivering current when you signal, you would need a signal relay that does that
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
Great video but I'm having a hard time understanding how this is working. If you have constant power going to the "running light wire" when the running lights are on, how does another power source (the "signal light wire" ) make the light flash? I understand the diodes will only allow current to flow one way but that shouldn't stop the "running light wire" to stop sending power to the light to allow it to blink via interrupted power from the "signal light wire". I can see this working with the use of a relay but not just two diodes. Maybe you could shed some "light" on this mystery:^)

+torchworx HEY! great question! the anwser lies at 0:59 in the video, when you signal, the bike cuts power to the running lights! so the running lights must be connected to the signal relay somehow,
