The idea is to cleanse yourself of sin, judging others is a sin by itself.
You are not worshiping the lord while condemning your neighbor.

+themanshere74 You need a good dose of antipsychotics, I believe in God, yet I'm not delusional. Marriage was created by men, God didn't set paperwork, judges, not even "priests" were given that title by "GOD". The mere idea that you can state that God is taking care of petty issues like a marriage license (a man's given license) simply shows how little faith you have in your own "God". It's the same false pretense of every religion that promotes hatred and prejudice "in the name of God" whilst violating the very basic notion that men and women were created MEN and WOMEN, without distinction... Those distinctions were created BY men, and they blame them on God? Open your eyes. The most gruesome acts, godless acts, inhumane acts, have been "done in the name of God", and it starts with prejudice, however small, as a marriage license, or as condemnable as taking a life. How easy has it become to take the name of God in Vain, how easy has it become to turn a blind eye to "love your brother as your own self" and understanding that by brothers, there was no distinction from one newborn to the next.

+themanshere74 If you can't do your duty and obey THE CONSTITUTION as a government official, then you shouldn't be a government official. Can you imagine how absurd it would be if a Muslim police chief refused to hire any female officers, or if a Catholic judge refused to allow any divorces? Government officials have to learn to keep their personal prejudices out of their jobs.
