Our Technical centre has reviewed the product label which state this is a Transfluthrin product that works by vapor release from a treated surface into the surrounding air. Under no circumstances is this type of product safe to use around Mantis or stick insects. They advise that you would be better served using fly papers (physical control by adhesive rather than chemical control). Please let us know if you require any further advice. Caroline

HELP I have a problem with black fungus gnats. I am a big houseplant fan. I bought a Fly Killer Cassette but due to the vague instructions on the back I have NO IDEA how it works. How does it work ie does it attract them or gas them from afar? Is it safe to have in the same house as a praying mantis , stick insects and tropical fish, shrimp and newts? I keep several as pets.

THANKS. Yeah I thought of silent poisons when I smelled the sweet scent, and, well there you have it. But the product will be safe to use when the insects have finally died of natural causes? My eldest newt is 9 years old and she's been with me through a lot. These are underwater creatures and they don't sense like insects with antennae. But I'm grateful for your help today.
