@MichaelaLeach That's because I wrote a cover letter convincing Harvard by comparing various aspects of myself, such as my academic and extracurricular interests, to the programs and activities Harvard has, as well as highlighting and updating various of my achievements in the curricular and extracurricular fields, in order to present to Harvard a more polished, formal, and professional appeal than a video promising not to urinate on a statue, which Harvard should assume of all of its students.

Oh Grace! I hope it all works out for you. As a music concentrator from said institution, I just want you to know that wherever you go, you're not going to be able to imagine having gone anywhere else and you'll make friends you can't live without. Not sure if you're trying to study music, but Harvard is pretty rigid and competitive within that rigidity. I often wish I had taken a year off before going. I would have come back 10 times the student I was. Think about it!

Thank you so much for your kind words--I agree that Tufts is a wonderful place to be =) For the glasses, I would love to give you the name of the shop, but unfortunately I bargained for them at a glasses mall in Beijing when I was there my senior year of high school, and have since lost the business card...however, I'm sure if you search online for some fake-bamboo circular frames, something is bound to pop up!

This is great, and I want to say sorry that the "Ron and Don" show was so unnecessarily mean to your effort just for laughs. I am not a music critic, nor a very accomplished musician-nonetheless I feel I know music pretty well. The song is well-sung, well-put together, and funny. Some of the high notes could be a bit grating, but your vibrato is astounding. Good luck!

I doubt you know enough of who Grace Oberhofer is to decide if she is or is not deserving of admission to Harvard. Honestly, black listed? Just remember, what goes around comes around. Good luck Grace! =D And all you other faceless commenters, like tayknbaykn said, get over yourself. Here is a girl who is devoted enough to an university to create such a video, instead of slaughtering her you should accept that someone found a way to captivate their attention in a way you didn't, and get over the spiteful and childish comments.

I honestly can't understand why anyone would critique your vocals; they're seriously great and it's not like you're monitoring yourself on a stage with a PA...you're just sitting in front of a camera, playing and singing so +100 for being fantastic. I wish you the absolute best of luck!

I think you have mistaken Harvard for American Idol. This video will seal your fate. The Elton John glasses are atrocious. The setting (the sterile room, b/w photos, large windows) convey a sense of entitlement. Maybe a community college is more your style?

Wow. Everyone on here is so harsh. I thought this song was really cute and creative and I hope this girl gets admitted. And by the way, if she's even qualified to apply to Harvard, I seriously doubt she belongs at a community college. Assholes....

Sorry to hear about Harvard, I saw your video on MSN and you have a beautiful voice. Tufts is a great school, I'm going to start my MA in Drama History and Criticism in the fall. You should feel very proud of all that you have accomplished.

why would you want to attend at harvard? there are other schools just as good...that and... you'd be in debt for the rest of your life... the tuiton for that school is ridiculous! and it is stil rising.

To be frank, this is awkward and I doubt that you'll be admitted for this. You're also probably going to get ostracized at whichever college you end up at for making this.
