How come there is no footage of the big band that actually performed 2 sets of Brazilian Carnaval music LIVE with the dancers? We can actually see their instruments in the back but no video or even mention of their work. They were the highlight of the event, closing the show until 2 am. It was Chalo Eduardo's Brazilian band with Andréa Ferraz on vocals.

HERE ARE THE FACTS Perhaps the cities most famous for their Mardi Gras celebrations include New Orleans, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Venice, Salvador da Bahia, and Mazatlán. Many other places have important Mardi Gras celebrations as well. The carnival is an important celebration in most of Europe, and in many parts of Latin America and the Caribbean. The New Orleans is by far the largest annual carnival event bringing in over 2 million visitors each year.

I do belly dance, and its a thing about likes, I don't like this belly dance, it must be elegant and mystical cause belly dance represents the curse of the energy between sky and land that passes through your body like a medium, the technique of this girls is rare, theire movements are so stiff... .

HAHAHA...Do U have any idea how many people are in the brazilian carnival?? 100 million people, and just to give you a little information on the topic, carnaval is not in only one city, it's in the entire nation, every little town celebrates it in the same dates. So next time do a little research before taking

carnival isnt from brazil, its a catholic pre-lent festival, carnival is all over the world, trinidad, france, puerto rico, etc, the most famous is mardi gras, and carnaval in brazil, but yes mardi gras has been celebrated on the us gulf coast for 400 years, rio wasnt even built yet

Ok, I'm not against Carnaval I even dont know nothing about samba and I don't have any opinion about it, I like brazil I hope I can go to this carnaval some day, don't wanna fight, im just a student of belly dance but its my passion and is just a comment.

carnival started in the west in new orleans and mobile usa around 400 years ago, 200 years before they started it in brazil, mardi gras is the largest carnival in the world, bringing 2 million people to bourbon st and the french quarter for 2 weeks

You didn`t answer my question!!!! Did people play samba on the new orleans carnival or didn`t? because here people play samba and axé and isn't a true Brazilian Carnival. It's a shame!!!!
