Thanks for this fantastic video. One question please? How come I can't run
YAMJ on my Hd2. As I click on the index file, the hd2 restart and nothing
on jubox. Maybe you can help me and many others with this prob. Many
thanks!!
@AvalonWolf it's still doing good and I still use it daily, I love it it
doesn't get hot imo, at first I was worried about the noise it would
produce but after having it a while, I must the fan makes very little noise
and you won't really hear it in the background if you are watching a movie.
I suggest putting a HDD in it, you will get a little more noise but really
a little and its worth it, so I suggest getting a HDD by samsung or western
digital from the green series, they are low in noise
It's an OK player... I have an A.C Ryan 3100p and a Medi8er 500X. You would
think with IDENTICAL hardware the A.C Ryan would be a no brainer HOWEVR the
MEde8er has better Programers & Firmware. IMO The Mede8er has beter Network
Streaming and a huge support base. Check out and compare how they handle
there forums, and the all to important, "frequency between FIRMWARE
releases" before you buy...
I had an ac ryan playon mini. It worked well until i installed the latest
firmware. After installing it said: succes! After power on it comes with
the start screen (ac ryan) and then: no more video signal. Tried the old
firmware, installed it, succes! he said, but it never worked again. Today i
made the unit a bit smaller............Never a ac ryan again.
@XR269 The interface has been improved, it looks better, it feels faster
and i can easily find movies in my library, since i can just use a movie
tab which sorts out all movie files on the hdd (or any other source). I
don't know if the older interface had it too, since i bought it yesterday
and updated it after a quick tryout
I am thinking to get the 2TB version, but I am just wondering if I play a
4:3 video file donloaded from youtube in mp4 format, will it stretch and
destroy the video to 16:9 format or will it automatically resize so I get
black bars to left and right, like the pictures at 3:53, hope someone got
an answer!
@flynnduism no spam here. I have sent the AC Ryan box back and bought a PS3
320gb Does everything I want, that the ryan doesn't. AC Ryan need to re
invent their interface and make do what it's supposed to be designed to do.
I am not supprised others have had the same problem with this box
@SuperRandomForum You need mp4 modifier .. this tells the file to disaplay
in either 4:3 or 16:9, then if tv is set to auto, it will display
correctly. This is ok machine but UI looks very dated and functional, not
beautiful like Xbmc. get green drive, @5200 not 7200rpm they run too hot.
@ingavanaga flimsy Xtreamer with its heat problems, loud fan and only room
for a 2.5" drive? At least the Playon is reliable on both hardware and
firmware with its regular updates! Have got it for over a year now and it's
still the best one out there beating all the rest in tests!
Im sorry. I just found out about this product. What is the difference of
this with connecting a laptop to a HD tv? I was looking for a dvd recorder
then somebody recommended me to use this instead.
I have just bought one of these and I wish I hadn't, the user interface is
terrible it's like using a dos programme. Worst thing I have ever bought.
Functions are far too basic

Can anyone tell me what i should choose between the WD TV Live HD Media
Player and the A.C. Ryan Playon!HD Mini? And why? Because i really dont
kwow the difference. thx
The user interface is very ulgy, why not make some interface like PS3 or
xtreamer, or PopBox? yeat a great device I own one and say it is worth to
buy!
I've been liking ac ryan for a while but I'm not sure about this new model
I have one at the mo and It has a sh*t load of bugs but I'm hoping that the
new firmware update will fix the bugs still early to say if this device is
better than the 1st Gen:)
Hello, good video friend, I also have an AC Ryan Playon! HD2 purchased. And
I wanted to do is, through a UTP cable connect to a PC. Downloading
Torrents, and save it to media player how do I do that ? PS soory for main
bad English
@AdventureReviews Does support 1080p MKV's. Subtitles yes, haven't tested
it with multi-audio tracks though. I'll give it a go when I can but I would
imagine so
(video capture) USB apparaat.
Ik ben op zoek naar een hd recorder om gameplays van mijn xbox te recorden.
Kan dat met deze 2? Zo niet, kan iemand mij een andere aanraden? Ik ga nu
de video bekijken =)
