The Blues Brothers - John Lee Hooker e Aretha Franklin
Mitica scena del film "The Blues Brothers" in cui Jake e Elwood entrano nel ghetto per andare a reclutare Matt Guitar Murphy e Blue Lou Marini. Eccezionali le ...
Is this from a special edit that I have never seen before? I don't recall
end of the song where John Lee Hooker and the other members of the band
argue on who wrote the song, plus where Jake and Elwood stand in front of
the cafe, admiring the band. Or is it just me?
+Jack Patino It's the Roadshow preview version, which runs about 18 minutes longer and has been making the rounds for at least 20 years now. It made its first appearance on the laserdisc, and has been available ever since on DVD, etc.
This scene doesn't make anymore sense in Italian. What in the HELL were
these Blues Brothers script writers thinking that audiences would want to
see Jake and Elwood succeed in pulling Matt Murphy and Bones Malone AWOL to
rejoin the band while leaving ARETHA goddamn FRANKLIN behind to mind the
diner?
They are offering a product and service, they are taking all possible legal
precautions to prevent illegal access, and that's done. What possible
argument can any sane person offer? It's dirty? Define dirty. It's immoral?
I've long said government should get out of legislating morality and stick
to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as it was intended. And
this it the latter two of the three, well represented. Lay off. There is no
crime here. If it offends you, re-examine yourself.
I do not propose to untether freedom from moral truths. I merely propose
non-governmental means of holding people to moral principles where no
rights are being violated. You see, if you rely upon government to enforce
our particular morality, we start a moral war in the governmental sphere.
The proper institution for the enforcement of decency is not the
government, it is the church. Or would you leave only a diminished role for
the church in society? It is liberals who want big government.
Oh yeah, because no one ever serves coffee to anyone else without a shirt
on? This is the first and only time this has ever happened, and no one ever
takes their clothes of for any reason ever in your town? Please, give me a
break. Stop trying to control the peaceful actions of others and mind your
own damn business. You wouldn't walk into your neighbour's house and tell
them to put their clothes back on while they're having breakfast. Why
should a neighbour's business be any different?
Degrading human dignity is when politicians tell free people what to do,
and we take it lying down. Look, you have lots of peaceful ways of
resisting this kind of thing in your community. Picket. Boycott. Photograph
people coming out. Write letters to the editor. But demanding that
politicians use the force of law is taking the easy way out. It's resorting
to violence against peaceful, if misguided people. They aren't hurting you.
Liberty is fit for humans. Bondage is for farm animals.
They have a right to open a business like this. The townsfolk have no right
to try to shut them down via the law. They can picket. They can boycott.
They can write letters to the editor. But they can not use the government
to violate the rights to liberty and property of the owners and patrons of
this peaceful business. I would never shop there. I don't drink coffee, and
I wouldn't pay extra to see half-naked women. (My wife is gorgeous and lets
me see for free!) But they have a right.
Rubbish. This is a niche business. You can't take kids in there. The market
for family-friendly places will always be larger, since there are more
people with families. No big chain will do this since the backlash would be
too great across their big chain. Only a small entrepreneur can take
advantage of this small segment of the market. Relax. Govt. force would
make this problem worse, and violate our liberty in the process. Picket or
boycott if you don't like it, but leave govt. out.
In my hometown of Waldorf MD they have a shop called Rudders house of cream
They have pregnent wait staff and they add the cream and milk to your
coffee from their breasts...... My wife has been asking if i would knock
her and her friend up so that they can work there cause the money is so
good....I said "look honey its one thing for you to want to work topless
but its a whole nother world when you ask me to sleep with you and your hot
girlfriend"
I heard about this coffee shop opening in Maine, I'd go if it was closer, I
checked on mapquest, it's about 3 hrs from me, I'll stick to going to
Hooters, thats only 1 1/2 hrs from me. I went to a topless restaurant in
North Carolina the last time I drove to Florida, they had billboards for
like hundreds of miles advertising it, it was right off the highway, my
waitress was nice, the food was OK, I really wouldn't go out of my way to
go their.
lol um I was like the top waitress there. and I wnt home with average
$1200-1500 a week... :) I have had so many radio interviews ... and even
appeared on a German Reality TV Show episode.. but I quit once the shop was
arsoned.... and what about exhibitionism? some people get off on being nude
or having sex in public... thats worse, at least people have a choice to go
there or not...
No, actually they never once claim it is any sort of liberation movement,
the guy who owns the coffee shop clearly says that he is doing it purly for
money. We live in a capitalist society and we are in a economic down turn
people are going to do ANYTHING to get people into their place for money,
as long as it is legal.
lol, from a purely Capitalist point of view, what better way to make money
is there? It's a business that doesn't really harm anyone, and at the same
time preys on basic human impulses. I wonder what the consumer reaction
would be if Wal-Mart took this idea for a test drive. LOL
The shop that i was talking about is kind of a speak easy...in that it is
protected from view...Google is in on the game so they pretend that it does
not exsist while all of the top people at google go to that shop all the
time.............Eyes open bob...eyes open wide.
"WHY?! What is your purpose?!" I hate people like that. It's HIS town too,
bitch. Just shut up and let him do his thing. At least he's doing something
and not bumming off the government for welfare, like what her ass would if
she were broke.
"why dont you do this in your home town?" "this is my home town" "why are
you doing it?" "trying to make money" Bravo! Let the small business owner
do what they want and get this stupid fucking government out of our way!
I think it's a perfectly legitimate idea. If you don't like it, don't
go...it's that simple. I personally don't feel the need to have a
half-naked person serve me my coffee, but far be it for me to stop someone
else...
it's just another way of degrading human dignity and calling it liberation.
for those who want total liberty, go join the animals. i'll just sit here
and be hiher than y'all.
It's unfortunate how prude most Americans are, I don't really see why
people being topless is that big of a deal. This is coming from an
American, by the way.
Wow, your story gets better. There's now a conspiracy! And the top people
at Google travel from Mountain View, California to get coffee with
breastmilk. :)
For all those hating on Avicii for not giving Adam Lambert the "fame"
please remember who made the song and whose channel this video was uploaded
on. If you want to see Adam Lambert then go whine to him and see what he
says. Alicia doesn't sing with his voice but sings with the music itself.
+Joe khoury I think you should consider the fact that Avicii made the song and people that publish it and edit it choose what they want the name and the singer to be!
