So out of these hobo stoves you've made do you find any of them performing
better than the others? If so any idea why? I had an old paint can that was
all clean and empty in the garage, and I wanted to pull out a lounge chair
and "sit by the fire" a few years ago, so I perforated the thing around the
bottom, and put a sheet of newspaper in the bottom and just tossed sticks
in the top. Not a stove, but it worked out nicely for hanging out in the
yard with a fire.
I made your cooler air conditioner. I bought a clip on fan but it wasn't
powerful enough. So I bought a better fan and it's doing great! Next I'm
going to make the double burner block stove. Thanks for the great ideas.
Yep with a little hardware cloth...you got yourself a nice sized burner for
a good sized cooking pot. And guess what, you CAN cook with isopropal and
not smut or soot the pots...it's all in the distance from the flame to the
pot. It's gotta get really close...then totally blue flames...the BTU's are
cut back but hey...no smudged pots and a little longer cooking time.
Hello Peter K. I used this a lot in the garage during the winter and it worked great but I just kept filling it up over and over not paying much attention to it. Gene.

Alcohol Survival Stove: Easy Camp Cooking
One of my good friends Oper8or stopped by and showed me how a alcohol stove worked. I hope you enjoy.
You scared me there for a minute. I was worried you were lighting up some
nice whiskey, tequila or moonshine. I was glad to see it was just rubbing
alcohol. I did not want to see good sipping booze go to waste. =)
HAHA... Yea I never knew about these little stoves until a few weeks ago.
They are pretty neat and some people go all out with the designs and
construction.
