+Pero Perhan No i don't think that today's Egyptians are descendants of ancient Egyptians.Today's Egyptians are muslim, plus they have been a Persian colony, then an Athenian, then a Macedonian and then a Roman one.When it comes to ancient Greek culture there are 2 categories of it. Mycenean and Classical. Today's Greece has more in common with Classical Greek culture. We still have philosophers who study the work of Plato and Socrates. E.g In 1998 a Platonist put an end to his life because he wanted to follow the ideal of the ancient Greek stoic philosophers. I myself am a fan of Plato's philosophy. In addition, modern Greeks have kept some of the dances of ancient Greece like Dorian Epirotan dances and dances of the colonists of Asia Minor. And most importantly, what we also have in common with the ancient Greeks is the language. (with some minor differences in grammar and a couple of foreign words). But, until 1980 modern Greeks spoke a form of ancient Greek. Even the name of your country is Greek (Indonesia: Indian Nesi- Ινδικό Νησί: Indian island). Last but not least, many of today's Greeks aren't even Christian. Half of my friends are interested in philosophy and not a single person from my family is christian.Oh and which ancient people's descendant do you think you are?

+Pero Perhan You do know that there has been an invastigation on the matter and it has been proved that almost 89% of today's Greeks have ancient Greek DNA? In the process they extracted DNA samples from the corpses of some ancient Athenians in ancient Athens' graveyard at the Keramikos. There is also a rumour that they used DNA from the corpse of Phillip of Macedonia because they needed some Dorian Greek samples from Northern Greece as well. So you should first search about this matter before talking anthellenically (against Hellas)
