+Julian Marangelli On the cigarette lighter in a lot of vehicles there is a constant 12v so they will be powered when the vehicle is off. But some vehicles the cigarette lighter will power on only when you turn the vehicle on. I am not sure how the BRZ/FRS works.Try testing to see if it gets power and is active while your engine is off. If it does, you wouldn't want to connect the LED lights to it or they would also be powered even when the engine is off. If that's the case, you'll want to wire it to some kind of ignition wire or wire that turns on only when the vehicle is turned on.
That depends on how you wire them. We have them wired to a switch. We could turn them on while driving, yes. We would recommend using a GTR Lighting Halo switch. They look cool, and have a great function.
+Duke Nukem I put them on the bottom of the seats in my car. I just poked small holes in the carpet and used really thin zip-ties to hold them in place. I think i have had them for almost a year and they are fine.
where did you mount the other 2 tubes? i wanted to mount them below the seats but there is carpet covering all the wires so i couldn't figure out where else to put them
hi...
Hope you can help? Car is a Freelander 2 - 2007, Td4 with Start/Stop button
Simply put, my car wont turn over at all – LR diagnostics and AutoLogic
cannot communicate with the cars electrical system with my original ABS
Pump and Control Module.
I can source a relatively cheap one compared to buying a new one at the
dealer (Ridiculously expensive here in South Africa).
When we tried plugging in a second hand/used unit – the car turns/cranks
but does not start. With the original ABS Pump – the car doesn’t crank at
all.
Question (Any help or insight is really appreciated)
1. If an abs Control module and pump is faulty, will it prevent a car from
starting?
2. Why won’t the car crank at all when my original pump and module is
plugged in?
3. Can I re-code a used unit to the car so it doesn’t give me VIN MISMATCH
errors?
4. What functionalities will I lose if I do not re-code the unit or cannot
recode a used unit to the car?
5. What options if any, do I have to get this working again?
Thanks A lot!!
thanks! i have the 3 amigos... changed the shuttle valves still no joy, do
you know if it matters if i fit a different modulator with a different part
number?
Technically anything you do to the car other then replacing the stock parts
will.
But most of the time as long as it's done clean and right they tend to over
look small things like this.
If you start changing cams, exhaust (full) ad turbo. Then the will void
warranty
You can always as your local dealer.
I bought different fogs that are supposed to be the same as oem (I have an
09 wrx with no fogs). it comes with a switch and wiring and says it's plug
and play. I don't need to mess with the turn signal do i?
Only took a couple of hours total. That included fumbling with cellphone camera. Finding one of the screws for the turn signal was the only pain.
Subaru Impreza POV Blue Lights
Newly Updated POV lights on my subie...Only new change not in the video is replacing the Raven Dash light with a Whelen Talon Feniex Pegasus LINZ 6 Grill ...
I went straight to the battery and put a fuse in between there. The for the
speaker i dropped the bumper and is located right underneath where the
license plate would be. As for the box for the airhorn, I have subwoofers
in the trunk. Between the back seat and the subwoofer is where i put my
amplifier as well as my box for the speaker.
Did you go to the fuse box to straight to the battery? Where did you end up
mounting the speaker and box for the airhorn? Interested in putting lights
in my WRX but I don't want there to be a mess of wires everywhere
the flashback on the pegasus is not bad at all... I have the universal
pegasus and after a little bending of the brackets you don't get much
flashback at all
Thanks for this. Makes starting on a hill much more predicatble now. Dont
like the idea of burning up the clutch while the "assist" is holding the
car from rolling backwards.
+Bones43x the assist is supposed to make things more predictable, but to quite honest, it goes against common sense thinking which makes it unpredictable. Im on a hill in a thing with 4 wheels. Wheels roll down a hill, therefore, I will roll down the hill unless i prevent that. Except that the assist holds you there and changes what happens. Ive been driving manual trnas for lmost 20 years now. Dont think I can ever change that roll back bit in my head
+DK1102 Exactly. I just got my 2016 WRX yesterday, and I'm going to turn this off immediately. I burnt the clutch trying to start on a hill this morning. It took 4 attempts, while killing it twice, to back out of from my mother-in-laws driveway and pull up to mine. It's a steep hill, mind you, but I've never had that kind of trouble before.
THANK YOU! The manual, as far as I can tell, doesn't tell us how to do
this. Very obnoxious feature. Learn to drive a clutch, or get the CVT. it
feels like a "real" stick again.
From what I've read other folks including the video author say it engages when you don't need it and affects how you take off.I'm no beginner to driving manual and the WRX I have now is the first vehicle with this hill assist feature.Personally, I kind of enjoy having hill assist and doesn't really bother me. I live in a hilly area and it kind of spoiled me lol. Thinking of disabling it. In order to enable it again I suppose you do the same procedure but not 100% and don't care to Google it.Inching up on a hill with traffic to get to a stop sign can bother others because I don't inch up like everyone else. The guy behind me gets agitated and honks at me hehe. I prefer to leave huge gaps and just take off nice and easy then stop. Have around 2K miles on the car and may disable it soon and get the real feel of how the car takes off on hills and stall maybe hehe.

Subaru Impreza STi V7 cluster swap
Bought a version 7 dashboard and swapped it in. I also desoldered the 93C56 EEPROM and transferred the original mileage so I do not need a sticker on the ...
I did it myself. Had to use an arduino, a breadboard, and some custom code to rewrite the rom. It goes up in KM, though my car is Canadian, dunno how it acts on a US car. Check this link for a how-to: //www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t105267-diy-reprogram-odometer-your-swapped-dash.html
