More solid evidence that Koreans were forced to slave labor at Japanese
sites recently bestowed with UNESCO World Heritage status
A local news agency has obtained a 15-year-old report from the
International Labour Organization that shows forced labor took place at
those facilities.
Kim Hyun-bin has the details.
Yonhap News Agency reported on Friday that forced labor at Japanese
industrial facilities was proven to be fact 16 years ago. The Seoul-based
agency obtained a International Labour Organization report from March of
1999, which states that thousands of Koreans and Chinese were forcefully
mobilized to the industrial facilities during World War Two.
At the time, the ILO labeled the forced mobilization as a ″violation of the
Convention.″
The report lists numerous testimonies of mistreatment and harsh working
conditions which resulted in many deaths.
The fatality rate of workers averaged roughly 18 percent with some
facilities at nearly 29 percent.
The report also revealed that... unlike what was promised, most workers
received little or no pay.
The statement read by the Japanese Ambassador to UNESCO on Sunday
acknowledged that there were a large number of Koreans and others that were
forced to work.
The ILO′s Forced Labor Convention states, ″The term forced or compulsory
labor shall mean any work for service under the menace penalty which a
person has not offered voluntarily.″
However, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga maintains that the
work at the facility did not constitute a violation.

Racism in Japan 日本では人種差別がありますか?[字幕付き]
Is there racism and discrimination in Japan? I was surprised to find out that almost all of my high school students (about 1000 students) were not aware of the ...
Racism=Japan? lolz... Yes! We all Japanese are racists!! Ladies &
Gentlemen, please be careful!! Japan is a full of rasistic bastards!! There
is a bad place as hell. Traveling to Japan? No way!! If you come to Japan
even once, you will never fail to regret it. So you shouldn't come
to Japan. I repeat, everyone shouldn't come to japan!! Are you happy now?
If anyone take my sentence and his extreme opinion as truth, seriously, you
had better not come to Japan. P.S Your Japanese is strange. Usage
of conjunction and particle is wrong. Where are you from Mr. Medama? Kor...
I'm not Racist.
Every country has racism and not just japan okay I fucking love japan it's a fucking awesome country and I believe what your saying to be not even a bite sized bit true
+Gotthard Beilschmidt what are you saying!!! Japan is a beautiful country!!! It's just that like EVERY OTHER countries in this world, it got some flaws!! I've actually heard that japanese are a bunch of kind, respectful or helpful people! But every country got to have good and bad sides...
I was thinking of taking a trip there but nervous. I know America has
taught the world to see people of color as a lower class of people. I was
concerned about being treated unfairly just because of my color.
+Muffy Lambert Tourists are treated well enough. The longer you live here and experience more...well, 'your mileage may vary.' Suffice to say that though generally I agree with the statements in this video my opinion is balanced by the fact that only the military and police are allowed to carry firearms so I feel safe from violent crime. And the food quality in Japan is top level. Some people love it here, some hate it. I am somewhere in the middle -- it is a very nice place with a few problems. There are very nice people, and ignorant and mean people, everywhere on Earth.Anyhow, I like Japan enough to have lived here 20 years (originally from the west coast).

There is no racism in Japan. We are "distinctionist" because we watch out
Zainichi Jeseon-in ( Korean-Japanese ) because they killed over 4,000
Japanese ater the Great East war (WWll)
I think you should study about the right Japanese history, you'd like to
ask about the existence of racism in Japan toward our.

+444 Alteisen Japan is very cruel and abusive to Koreans. They go around calling them "Bakachon (バカチョン)", "Gokiburi (ゴキブリ)", degrade the word "Chosenjin (朝鮮人)", and try to impersonate them in a very derogatory manner with ending their sentences with "Nida (-ニダ)". They also accuse of Koreans in thousands of things that aren't true via YouTube and rallying with Uyoku Dantai (右翼団体) and Zaitokukai (在特会). They impersonate as Korean people on internet and act as if they preach to Japan or something. They mistreat Zainichi Koreans and bully them big time.Very barbaric.
+Mohamed Sharif No! Korean Occupation Army's crimes in Japan from 1945 to 1950 after the Great East War(WWll). Dirty Koreans deleted it & Trial Pregnancy from Wikipedia. Koreans, 三国人 Third Country Persons, had committed a lot of crimes in our country. Muders, rapes, robberies, thefts, squatting many Japanese's houses, etc. There is so many crimes in Japan. Buildings of Pachinko, Pin ball game, in Japan is ugly monuments. Read my Twitter. Same ID. By the way, Nanjing massacre & Issue of Korean Comfort Women is great lies of China & South Korea. Medama sensei, see you again in Twitter & don't tell lies to students in Japan.
Ill say this...Jesus doesn't care about what race, color, or where your
social standing is. if we don't accept him as our lord and savior and
rebuke sin and hate and the devil, none of us will make it to heaven. we
must always repent for our sins. And LOVE THY NEIGHBOR. TURN away from
Satan's works. And walk the path of holiness.
+Pomme843 No, And the testing is for our benefit and those around us. Not for Gods benefit. Your interpretation of faith is incorrect according to the Bible. Like I said before, context. Jesus was if you will, killing two birds with one stone as far as I can tell. He knew her faith was strong so he used her faith to teach his followers a lesson. That they shouldn't be prejudiced. None of these questions can be answered in short concise brief statements. I guess the first and most obvious point is that everything God does is righteous and justified, because he is a perfect being and we are imperfect beings that could never possibly understand his reasoning. As for faith, faith is not the suspension of reason. Hebrews 11 says "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." and there is more to this chapter but faith is believing Gods promises without needing evidence. Through faith the evidence will follow. as for why God would test us... it seems if you've read the bible that through the centuries and millennia God speaks to us less and less till we are where we are now, where there are unbelievers everywhere who say they cant hear God or he isn't real. I look at it like this, God is our father and we are his children. as kids we are taught by our parents but when we become adults they no longer have any say in what we do. This is Gods gift to us (Free choice). We choose to love, hate, follow, turn away, believe or not believe in God. And we see in the bible how in the beginning there was no question about God but eventually that evolved into us "reasoning" that we don't need God to live which evolved in believing false gods/not believing at all. Mathew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." it is because we lack faith and refuse to follow our fathers road that we cannot hear him. Jesus told Thomas "because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:29. Jesus came for the Jews to teach them the gospel that they would go out into the world and teach the gentiles. he showed them through his miracles and lessons that Jews are not the only ones to be saved. so no he wasn't lying or deceiving her. but preparing his followers for after his resurrection and ascension. The Bible is Gods word read it and you will find many answers to your questions. prey to God for the rest.
+Chad Zimmerle That doesn't answer my question, Chad. Doesn't "testing someone's faith" involve lying to them, and deceiving them - tricking them, in fact? Stringing them along under false pretences? Why would an all-knowing god feel the need to test anything? And why is faith a good thing in the first place? Is faith not the wilful suspension of reason in the absence of evidence? Why would anyone extol faith as a virtue if they were not a charlatan? The truth requires no faith, my friend.
+Pomme843 John 10-16 is more or less what I said above. "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd” like I said before we are all Gods children those over the passages of time that stayed loyal and worshiped God are the Jews and everyone else are gentiles. Christians which is what I am are gentiles. Anyone not Jewish are gentiles. When he said that, like I said before he was testing her. if you read or look up similar passages in the bible you'll find many passages that are similar, support and prove this. its all about context. Always, always, always read the context. if anyone has questions or doubts go to your nearest church and ask the pastor or go to //www.gotquestions.org/ and ask/search them.
+Pomme843 What he does in Matthew 15:21-28 is test her faith. The Jews were his people because they never strayed from his path. but we are still Gods children. this is why God blessed the Jews, and why Jesus came to die on the cross for everyone's sins. If we believe, worship, follow his teachings, and have faith then we are his children. Jesus tested her and found her to have great faith. those who have strayed from Gods path, from Jesus are lost sheep. And Jesus is our shepherd. we must have faith in our shepherd and follow him. Jesus Christ.
+Chad Zimmerle Read Matthew 15:21-28, and you'll see that Jesus does care very much about race.
