Do you know what democracy even means? Sorry but here in our place we don't
have books authored by Russians because I live in a country that is
"al-LIE-d" with America. Debates are not just supported by mere facts but
it should be from a unbiased point where the debater KNOWS both sides of
the issue. And I MEAN BOTH SIDES. I live in country that has been "friends"
with the US for as long as we can remember and I have studied other states
that the US has close relations to. Know both sides first.
Washington-approved countries? Please provide examples and evidence for
your theories. Otherwise, they will remain as such. Just theories. Here are
some facts: Russia recently created a commission against falsifying
history. This is a classic case of KGB "pravda" vs the undisputed truth.
They need to protect their own interpretation of history to legitimize
their dominance of non-ethnic Russians in the near-abroad and white-washing
of Soviet-era atrocities. That is a crime everyone recognizes.
i think its just in 89 cold war anti-russian propaganda was still in
effect, u were receiving falls info from news channels. There was 15
republics that formed USSR. All of them were granted independence. Chechnya
was always part of Rus. So if u have bunch of rebels running with guns
killing civilians, trying to break off a chunk of territory, doesn't mean
they should have it. Lets say tomorrow Hawaiians say "independence!" 30 min
later you'll have f-22s building new democracy democracy there
At least we can prove that people voted for the current candidate with REAL
evidence, not like in Russia and Belarus- oops the ballot box fell in a
bonfire and all of the ballots were destroyed, but trust us, this guys is
the winner. We had that happen once in Bush v Gore, but it was blamed on an
antiquated vote-count system and an aging electorate in Florida. At least
in Washington, your seat is not guaranteed and you are not criminally
immune from prosecution. Moscow's judiciary is a joke.
1- i'm in armenia, i don't even have a border with russia. 2- i didn't say
i supported the 'rebel's in chechnya, but i must point out that in 1989
chechens were not radical terrorists, or islamic at all (most were atheist
after 70 years of soviet communism)- but like all nations of the former
USSR, they wanted independence, and russia crushed them for it, the few
survivors later got weapons from saudi arabia, and were radicalised
islamists. and then russia claims 'independence' for abkhazia
Chechens are not terrorists and suggestign that is not right, the
terrorists are those who hide in the Caucasan mountains and forests and
carry out acts of terror in Chechnya and the rest of Russia. I understand
how everything happened there, but you must understand what it would have
meant for Russia to release Chechnya. As for the Russian actions in Georgia
and the two republics, I think they were the right actions, Georgia waged
war and killed Russian people and soldiers, peacekeepers!
Georgian-Abkhazian conflict has't started only in 1990 but much more late
since 1921 when Georgia declared its Independence, since that day Russia
tried to burn off big ,,dilema Unfortunately still in 21st century we see
same attitude from Russia, but they should have think about further
consequences as such action returns them as boomerang, see current
situation in northern Caucasus and it is just beginning most interesting
things are ahead. God bless Georgia.
Wasting anymore time? How about you who is telling "facts" about Russia and
yet not know of the most hated imperialist today. You are wasting people's
time by posting here your "facts" and "arguments" about politics and yet
not know of even the most basic terms in international politics. Do you
even know what the american government did to other countries that they are
"alLIEs" with? So before saying anything here about russia again, go back
and read your book.
I guess you don't know what imperialism in modern times mean. WHEN I SAID
"IMPERIALIST" I DIDN'T MEAN THAT THE US HAS COLONIES OR EVEN AN EMPEROR.
There are many forms of imperialism today. It may be economic, political or
even cultural. I suggest you go and learn political science before you say
that I "insult your own intelligence or lack thereof". Its you who is
lacking in the knowledge of terms in international relations and politics.
Still no evidence? You insult your own intelligence or lack thereof. The US
does not have colonies, or an absolute emperor/empress. Those are the
classic prerequisites for an empire or an imperialist state. Unless you are
referring to the use of diplomacy and trade to spread a country's
influence. In that case, every country in the world is guilty of this, to
some degree. Russia has manipulated gas exports to imperialist ends.
No, I have it all right and if you are in support of the rebels, you are
worth nothing more then any of them, if you are buying any bit of what
Saakashvili told the world, then you are very fit for terrorist
reqruitment, but thats your problem, but your going to have to accept one
thing and that - you have a big neighbhour and whether you like it or not,
Russia owns part of the Caucasus, the border is set, try moving it...
right, but chechnya, and the caucasus in general was not always part of
russia, at least not until the caucasian war (1817-1864) when imperial
russia invaded the region, murdering hundreds of thousands, and deporting
almost 2 million, caucasians, including abkhaz search "muhajir"- and now
here they are, waving russian flags and building russian bases,...not
exactly the independence i would have imagined
gamshakhurdia was a fascist, sakaashvili is just an idiot, but, i really
don't see how russia has any moral authority on the issue: "oh NATO this
NATO that..bla bla bla"...i mean, come un, russia has a pretty good history
of destroying ethnic minorities (INCLUDING THE ABKHAZ, only 150 years
ago)..."russia for the russians" is also chanted quite often in moscow
these days SLAVA ROSSYA
OH cmon. As if you don't know that you have been an imperialist power same
as USSR before. The US has been an imperialist. I'll give you a case of
also "falsifying" history. The news that Russia was the aggressor during
Georgia's aggression towards Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Don't tell me that
you REALLY think that your government don't have "sattelite states" up to
date? oh cmon.
anything else you want to say, piece of scum? Come on, get it off your
chest, i know daddy touches you, and your drunk mommy resents you. I'll be
your friend. Don't worry child, help is on the way. cry me a river
dicknose. And you still suck at COD 4, so don't even bother getting Modern
Warfare 2, noob. I bet you wish you hadn't told me to shut up huh, f*ckface?
Stop your c'mon crap at get to producing evidence. Imperialist, not likely.
We didn't repopulate countries we were deployed to with Americans. Russia
did so all over the Soviet Union - it was government policy to break
nationalist sentiments. You omitted the fact that Russia cyber attacked
Georgia before a single shot was fired, agitating the situation.
So sad for you. I know how hard it is to feed on a "seemingly free speech"
"democracy. But again your biases show and therefore, your arguments are
not valid. Your "facts" are one-sided and shows your bias toward America.
Again, I recommend that you go read a book, one that is not American,
Washington-approved scholars-written book. You tell me nothing.
Ofcoarse they cant fix problems within Georgia, but you must remember NATO
impelled Saakasvili to launch his pathetic war last august by making him
feel that he will be supported no matter what. Russia will prevent him from
attacking again and NATO could help with that by keeping Saakasvili on a
leash, but unfortunatly NATO continues to support him.
right, call it what you will, but the russian's can't honestly bomb grozny
to a crater, on the grounds that it has no right to independence since it
wasn't an SSR, and then place 40 000 troops in abkhazia and s.ossetia
(while NORTH ossetia is still in the russian federation)..claming that they
have a right to self-determination.
You're an idiot, Georgia should not be in NATO thats crazy. Basically the
next time some idiot from Georgia does something we'll have WW3. Are you
insane? UKRAINE and NATO stopped deliveries of gas to BLAME Russia for
that. Why the hell do you think they are building that pipeline through the
baltic. Get your fucking head on.
These Abkhazians are blind to the fact that Russia will never leave and
allow them to truly be independent. Even countries that have independence,
like Ukraine and Georgia, constantly have their independence challenged by
Russian maneuvers, either overtly or covertly. Russian colonialism needs to
be stopped!
If Russia is the only country now that can keep the peace there, it's
because Russia is the country *disturbing* the peace there. It's been
Russia's MO since Georgia declared independence to assist and incite these
breakaways. A strong, unified and western friendly Georgia is unacceptable
to the Kremlin.
NATO definitely betrayed Georgia. Sakashvili has to go, but should not be
replaced by a pro-Russia candidate. Georgia should be in NATO. Russia does
not own Georgia or Ukraine. This winter we'll see Russia turn off the gas
to EU, blame Ukraine, and fuck everybody in the process. ...yawn.
Ignorance of political definitions is something Russians are very good at.
What is democracy? Is Russia a democracy? I hope Russian, Kremlin-approved,
scholars didn't write this book you are referring to. You are entitled to
hate America, but support your debate with facts, not ideas.
That is something I definatly agree with - Saakasvili must go, whoever
replaces him should not even hope to get the two republics back. What you
say is strange... Russia losses money for every second that gas is switched
off why would Russia want to intentionally switch the gas off?
Leave where? Perhaps these places will close when other countries decide to
unite and assume responsibility for their own safety. But no one can afford
that right now, except the West. You'll thank us later. And no one is safe
with Russia playing Abkhazian and S. Osettian security.
No one is safe ??? You mean from NATO, hopefully more bases will close from
NATO like whats happening in Central Asia, United Shits of Amurica was
stupid moron though to even offer an aid and offer border patrols to
Abkhazia but got rejected :))
