Crossing the Brownsville - Matamoros border; Mexican car has other ideas!
A simple walk across Puente Internacional (also Nueve or Bridge Two) but I see weird things everywhere - including the first time ever - a Mexican car changing ...
when you come back to the us do you have to have a passport? the reason i
ask is i am being denied a american passport because of child support
issues, i cant keep up with the interest, but i pay, my problem is my dad
is living in guadalajara jal mexico, he was born and raised their, he came
to california and met my mom and had me in the states, than returned to
mexico, he is 77 yrs old and have not seen him in over 25 yrs, i would like
to see him i am 50 yrs old, he said if i can get to where he is at with my
us birth certificate and state id which i have he would help me get my
mexican citizenship before he passes on at some place in mexico city which
we would both go to, i am just wondering if you know anything about people
in my situation as you do speak very good english, i was wondering if you
have dual citizenship, but i am assuming that you have a us passport. can
you give me some feedback, it looks like brownsville is the fastest way to
guadalajara to me on a map, what do i need to ride a bus if their is one
that goes their, i would like to get my mexican citizenship but i can not
get an american passport. i wonder if mexico would still give me
citizenship thru my dad without the american passport. confused in america,
please give me your input if you get time thanx or have any other
questions.
+lostinamerica lol no problem man. yeah if you're in the midwest, maybe a quick flight down to san antonio or houston (cuz you don't wanna take the bus the whole time - plus airline fares are sometimes cheaper it's crazy) but either direction will take you there. it shouldn't cost you more than $60 one way to guadalajara from either station. (about $800-900 MXN) if you got anymore questions, i'm at [email protected]
thank you for your quick response, i dont have any warrants i am current on support but just in to much arrears because of the interest rates, that is why i can not get a us passport. but i will look into nuevo laredo. i thought maybe it would be a faster bus service thru brownsville area, i am currently smack down in the middle of the midwest right now. i will make sure i have the three identifications you were referring to. peace out i have to get to work now at wally world or else i will get a coaching from the boss. peace
+lostinamerica im not sure what mexico's citizenship laws are except running for president lol. my father is italian however and i automatically became italian when i got an italian passport - so it might be the same thing. the united states cannot ban you from entering the country. however, i'm not sure if you're telling me the full story, and that's fine but here's my warning - if you are wanted for some child support payments, you will be stopped at the border. considering you don't have a passport, for them to recognize your existence, you should show 3 valid proof of identification (ID, birth certificate, SS card) - and if there's something in the system that you have warrants, you're welcome back into america, but you';re going straight to jail. i know from experience, i was young and stupid, had a warrant in san antonio. they changed the law in 2008 and i spent 10 days in jail for the warrant. so be careful. guadalajara is on the west side of mexico while matamoros is on the east - are you sure about the assessment? while the bus station in matamoros is quite feasible and there are many lines i would think nuevo laredo would be the best port of entry. good luck, hope your father is doing well.
well it's gonna be hard to make a good video this time of year with it getting dark early. i don't exactly cross the border and walk back. i walk deep into matamoros. last time i was there i walked around at 11:30 at night. felt fine.
+The Warzone during the day is cool u went at 9 in the morn no problem I go there at that time let me see make a video after 6 pm go in deep in Matamoros
I was horrified when they left my computer at my door when I wasn't home.
But nowadays, they leave everything to prevent a second trip. As usual, I
enjoyed your vlog.
