The lobby staff don't tend to bug anyone, but you'd have to go down and meet them if you already have the keycard and you've already checked in. It's easy enough. Get your friend to call or message you when they get there and you can let them in. Security is very good at most hotels with the keycards locking a main door to the rooms.

shit room to be honest with you =D but for the 80 pounds 4 two nights its not bad...we stayed in holiday inn hotel paid 218 for 3 nights but the room was totaly awsome and the service was nice really happy about holiday inn hotel in caning town =P we gonna book it for may as well =P

I've not stayed at a hotel before, but like, if I'm in a room and I got a friend coming to meet me, how is the lobby and stuff generally? Would my friend have to be like questioned and stuff or talk at the front desk or can he just walk straight on up?

Haha funnily enough I was at Travelodge too since my regular had been custom house. The place is nice and a had good meal - if you consider three kinds of peanuts a meal XD

@TonyoTimes Yes that was the one, Its at decently short walking distance from the expo but I was in a big fursuit that weekend, so everyone insisted on driving there xD

Hier sind natürlich die 'Guten Zimmer' gezeigt worden, ;) Ich war dort mit meiner Schulklasse und kann dadurch natürlich genau Auskunft geben :-D Die 'Schlechten Zimmer' haben alles, was man braucht vom Kühlschrank bis zum Flachbildfernseher nur das Bad ist ziemlich klein, ich bin 1,80 m groß und hatte kaum Platz mich abzutrocknen :-D aber auch die Lage ist sehr gut. Ca. 300 m entfernt ist McDonald's :-D und direkt daneben ist die U-Bahn Station Paddington. Ich hoffe ich konnte euch helfen ;-)

A hell of a lot of money for a broom closet with a view of chimney pots. Still, it's Belgravia so that carries a high price. Find me the nearest Hampton Inn or Best Western. In terms of value for money, they beat this joint hands down.

+TheTruthQuest123 sorry for late reply, was in Nepal so had limited access to the internet. I just work for a big global company and they send me quite often to different locations + lot of traveling on my own. How to afford that? It's just a matter of priorities :)
