WKRG was using the video feed and had it muted and the WKRG news host was doing his commentary over it and the CBS feed started talking about other school massacres and they showed video of Sandy Hook and the WKRG news commentator was still doing his thing. It's nothing at all. It's stupid to say it is. Use your brain damn and stop letting idiots manipulate you with stupid stuff like this. Jeeeez..

You try making a fire in that much snow. He did not start in November. He started in Maine in probably July. I successfully thru-hiked the AT northbound this year. We take risks with the amount of food that we carry (just enough to make it between towns) and the lack of extra gear. Extra weight is miserable, and we are used to discomfort and are generally very adaptable. Cell phone service barely exists along the trail in the south, which is largely in massive swaths of national forest.

I have absolutely no reason to doubt this story. AT hikers don't have a bloody clue what the weather forecast is or what's going on in the outside world for up to a week at a time. This man, a southbound hiker, has vastly fewer companions to talk with compared to northbounders and thus even less idea what's going on. Towns come along only every 3 days to a week and that doesn't mean they get to watch TV or use the internet. They may not even shower while they're there.

If you see "Alan Watt- Never Watch the Television" you will know some of what I know about TV. I got rid of mine four years ago. I checked out your channel... a hiker and an organic chemist... cool.
