take those panels and put them in the basement.first you take a parabolic solar concentrator and put an robotic arm on it to follow the suns path.then make the focal point a mirrored shape cone that will send the light down through mirrored glass tubing straight into a mirrored shape glass box inside the mirrored shape box will be several solar panels that spin to keep them cool the mirrored box must have the mirrors inward to reflect the light sending from the parabolic focal point.ken van horn

I just love all these inventors. Their Ideas are inspirational no matter how crazy they may seem. This is what happens when people get off their ass and stop watching tv and use the internet as a tool for learning new ways. Everything is energy. But the energy controllers want to keep controlling it. That is why I am proud of people like this because I see videos here of people making improvements on what they see. This at first seemed to be some kind of joke. Then the discussion about eficiency and wheels vs legs kinda made me feel like rolling my eyes. I'm pretty sure you are serious about this so I'm giving you the benefit of a doubt. I am totally in agreement about your use of solar. I'm fairly sure that the reason solar tech is so expensive is that the power producers i e Enrons of the world like their profits. Thank you for producing this video and for your devotion to sustainable power use.

This is an excellent joke - thanks much for sharing it. :) As for all the debating about wether or not wheels or legs are more efficient, on a flat surface a wheel will beat legs all the time. In rough terrain like rocks, legs will beat wheels. As for wether or not we would have evolved with wheels if the world was flat ... possibly, yes, though I think hoverboat is more likely. Much easier to develop skirts and lungs that blow air underneath the body.

The wheels used are not for acceleration, That being said, his arguement is that it is more efficient to POWER mechanical legs, as opposed to powering a wheel. The power is not applied to the skates or chariot wheels. Those wheels only serve to allow the vehicle to move freely across space.

Bob, This chariot is absolutely amazing and reminds me of the Robocop movie, however the leg motions here seem to be much smoother and more natural than the Robocop movements! When are you going in production and what do you think would be the price of your chariot to the public?

Pretty cool, but I don't think we're getting the full story. The feet have wheels and glide at times; how is it possible that the feet are the only source of locomotion as implied; how would there be any traction? Can the inventor back up this claim?

That is a Corbin Sparrow, a single person electric car that Bob has modified a bit. The Sparrow is the perfect vehicle for an individual with a commute of 30 miles or less. Bob plugs it into his solar panels for recharging.

Wheels increase mechanical efficiency. legs use energy in the lifting process that doesn't go toward locomotion. That's why you can get further and faster on a bicycle than you can running or walking.

yeah, because the gears ratio on a bike is meant to increase your ratio of energy in / movement. Try going further and faster on a bike with a 4:1 ratio gear, I'm sure you will wear out quite fast.

walking is not more efficient for wheels on smooth surfaces like roads but walking is more robust and allows you to deal with non-smooth surfaces
